The Macao City Culture Festival will be held on 14 to 22 November during the Macau Grand Prix. Through innovative cultural interactions and experiences, the festival will promote Macao's valuable cultural resources that represent ‘China's First’. Drawing on the city's World Heritage and Intangible Cultural Heritage, it will highlight Macao's distinctive character as a meeting point for Chinese and Western civilisations, unveiling the captivating depth and brilliance of Macao's cultural legacy.
The Macao Forum will be transformed into a ‘Time Square’. Centred on the theme ‘Echoes of the City, Harmony between East and West’, the venue will host a ‘Macao and the Encounter of Chinese and Western Civilisations’ themed exhibition, cultural experiences, performances of intangible cultural heritage, and stalls featuring creative products. The festival will also extend to other locations surrounding the Grand Prix circuit, featuring the ‘Macao Historic Centre Open Day’ at various heritage sites including Sir Robert Ho Tung Library, Mandarin’s House, Senado Library and Guia Lighthouse, alongside unique activities and guided tours. Additionally, the Macao Chinese Orchestra will perform at the iconic Ruins of St. Paul's.
