Auction for Chinese New Year Market stalls at Tap Seac Square to receive registration from next Tuesday onwards

To enhance the festive atmosphere of Chinese New Year and make it convenient for the public to purchase festive flowers and traditional gifts for Chinese New Year celebration, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) will hold the Chinese New Year Market at Tap Seac Square from 30 January to 6 February 2027 (the 23rd day of the 12th lunar month to the Chinese New Year’s Day). There will be 16 stalls for selling festive gifts, 6 for festive flowers, and 4 for snacks. Interested members of the public may register for the auction for the Chinese New Year Market stalls from 27 October onwards.

The auction for the Chinese New Year Market stalls will take place on 18 November this year. The above stalls for operation will be auctioned off via open-outcry bidding. Awardees of the stalls must pay the winning bid amount in full by cash, electronic payments or crossed cheque on-site right after the auction is concluded.

Members of the public interested in participating in the auction may visit IAM’s Integrated Services Centre or public services centres in different districts between 27 October and 10 November to complete the registration formalities and pay the temporary deposit, besides collecting the rules for auction and stall operation.
