The Suncity Group 65th Macau Grand Prix will be held from November 15th to 18th 2018.
The Macau Grand Prix Organizing Committee held a press conference today (August 28th) at the Macau Grand Prix Building to introduce celebrations to mark the 65th running of the event.

The 65th edition of the Macau Grand Prix will be held this year. The Macau Grand Prix Organizing Committee will stage a number of celebrations, including creative "65" racing-themed photo and “Grand Prix”-themed short video collection campaigns. Members of the public may enter from September 3rd, with entries to be submitted to the organizers in the requested format by October 3rd. The organizers will upload the entries which best illustrate the themes to the Macau Grand Prix and Macao Sports Events websites. Across social platforms, the ten entries which garner the most “likes” or votes during the month of October will win paddock access passes and tickets to this year’s Grand Prix as well as special souvenirs.
The celebrations will roll out consecutively, and from November 3rd to 4th, a "Grand Prix Family Carnival" will be held at Tap Seac Square. The theme of the event will be the Grand Prix, with interactive games suitable for the whole family, while children can be transformed to become ‘virtual’ racing competitors and track marshals. Visitors can learn more about the fascinating workings behind the Grand Prix as well as the racing activities themselves.
The "65th Macau Grand Prix Opening Ceremony and Auto Show", held from November 10th to 11th, will showcase the participating Macau GT Cup - FIA GT World Cup and Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix racing vehicles at the Tap Seac Square. The show allows residents and visitors to get a close-up look to the amazing cars and motorcycles.
On November 11th, the "65th Macau Grand Prix Celebration – Guia Circuit Fun Run" will be held, with the start and finishing points at the Macau Grand Prix Building. A lap of the Guia Circuit will allow participants to experience the unique nature of the race track for themselves. The total length of the event is approximately 6.2 kilometers, and participants are required to complete the event within one hour and 15 minutes. Participants who complete the event will receive commemorative medals and towels, while the top ten finishers in the men’s and women’s groups will receive a trophy.
The maximum number of registrations for the event is 2,000. Anyone aged 15 or above who holds a valid identity document issued by a licensed entity in Macao may sign up for free. Interested parties can complete the registration form and submit the required documents at the Macao Forum between 9:00 am to 8:00 pm on September 2nd. Each individual may submit up to five registration forms. The form can be downloaded from the Sports Bureau website or obtained from the Sports Bureau Headquarters and designated venues.
