Committee for the Development of Conventions and Exhibitions Holds Its 1st Plenary Ordinary Meeting of 2021

The Committee for the Development of Conventions and Exhibitions (CDCE) held the “1st Plenary Ordinary Meeting 2021” at the Multi-functional Conference Hall of Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) on 15 June. During the meeting, in addition to introducing the preparation for and follow-up of large MICE events to be organised or co-organised by IPIM this year, IPIM also discussed with the committee members the co-operation between MICE and other industries, as well as MICE-related training programmes. IPIM also listened to opinions from the members regarding the development of the local MICE industry, hoping to promote economic recovery with the industry together.


The Art Exhibition of MPI Seniors Academy Teachers and Students Has Fruitful Results

Organized by the Student Union of MPI Seniors Academy, and co-organized by MPI Seniors Academy (ACS), the Opening of 2020/2021 Art Exhibition of MPI Seniors Academy Teachers and Students was held on 9 June 2021 at Lam Kan Exhibition Gallery of MPI. Many guests were invited to officiate, and the scene was lively.

The “Macao Week in Shanghai” came to a successful conclusion, during which the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) promoted Macao through both online and offline channels that recorded over 90 million online viewers. 2021 Mainland-Macao Business Associations Joint Conference Facilitates New Development of Industrial and Business Sectors of Both Regions

The 2021 Mainland-Macao Business Associations Joint Conference was held today (16 June) under the theme “New Phase, New Context, New Development”. Around 40 representatives of trade promotion organisations and chambers of commerce from both regions joined the event, and exchanged ideas on topics including how Macao can participate in and contribute to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area’s development with its own advantages, and how to help the industrial and business sectors of Mainland China and Macao to enter a new phase of development.

“17th International Architecture Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia – Works of the Collateral Event of Macao, China” opens on Friday

Organized by the Macao Museum of Art (MAM) under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, and co-organized by the Architects Association of Macau, the “Connectivities: Living beyond the boundaries – Macao and the Greater Bay Area, the 17th International Architecture Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia – Works of the Collateral Event of Macao, China”, will be inaugurated on 18 June (Friday), at the Taipa Houses, at 6:30pm. The exhibition team comprises the curator, Carlos Marreiros, the renowned Macao architect, and young local architects and urban planners Ho Ting Fong, Che Chi Hong, Lao Man Si and Chan Ka Tat. The four exhibits, titled “Connected”, “Connectivity is from point to point!”, “Boundary Verticalisation – the Collision of Two Different Urban System” and “Coexistence”, present the relationship between architecture, land reclamations, collective memory and urban life from multiple perspectives, offering visitors a picture of the cross-border life in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.


“Stay, Dine and See Macao” project launches 19 itineraries in second phase To welcome summer holidays with all

Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) joined the Task Force for “Stay, Dine and See Macao” to announce the 19 local tour itineraries launched for the second phase of the “Stay, Dine and See Macao” project today. Residents can join the themed tours during the summer holidays in July and August or opt for staycation in the hotels they like. Interested residents can sign up for the tours from tomorrow (17 June). Every permanent or non-permanent Macao SAR resident who has not joined the “Stay, Dine and See Macao” project before is entitled to a one-time subsidy for each of both categories – local tour and hotel staycation.
