Upgraded version of the mobile application “My Library” offers a diversified reading and service experience

The Public Library of the Cultural Affairs Bureau has completed a series of functional upgrades in the mobile application “My Library”, including interface optimisation and the introduction of several new features, further enhancing its service efficiency and convenience while offering a comprehensively upgraded digital service experience to users.


Macao Polytechnic University Holds 2026 Graduation Ceremony, Nearly 1,700 Graduates Embark on a New Journey

The Macao Polytechnic University Graduation Ceremony for Academic Year 2025/2026 took place on 9th June, at 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the University’s Sports Pavilion. Each ceremony began with the national flag raising and the singing of the national anthem. Nearly 1,700 doctoral, master’s and bachelor’s degree students successfully completed their studies and graduated from the University. The representative of Chief Executive of the Macao SAR and Chancellor of Macao Polytechnic University, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR Government, Ms O Lam stated that the Macao SAR Government will continue to support the development of Macao Polytechnic University, with particular emphasis on supporting the University’s extension of educational operations as well as its campus development in the Hengqin Cooperation Zone. The Government will actively introduce first-class international higher education resources and promote the internationalisation of talent cultivation, scientific research, and technological exchange.




UM to co-host AULP Annual Meeting next Monday

The 35th Annual Meeting of the Association of Portuguese Speaking Universities (AULP) will take place in Macao from 15 to 17 June. Co-hosted by the University of Macau (UM), Macao Polytechnic University (MPU), and Macao University of Tourism (UTM), the three-day event will bring together around 150 university representatives and guests from Portuguese-speaking countries and regions.


SAR Government Organizes Delegation to Brazil, Facilitating Multiple Pharmaceutical Cooperation Projects Promoting the Chinese Mainland and Macao's Greater Health Industries to Expand into the Brazilian Market

The Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute of the Macao SAR (hereinafter referred to as "IPIM") organized a delegation of over 40 entrepreneurs, industry association representatives, and industry-academia-research professionals from Macao and the Chinese Mainland to complete an 8-day business exchange trip to São Paulo, Brazil. During the trip, a series of activities were carried out, including visits to industry exhibitions, on-site inspections, official meetings, company visits, exchange sessions, and seminars. Multiple cooperation agreements were facilitated during the trip, including: Macau Investment and Development Limited (MID) leading its subsidiary, the Guangdong-Macau Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Industrial Park Development Co., Ltd., to sign a cooperation agreement with the Federal Pharmacy Council of Brazil (CFF), and delegation members signing 5 cooperation agreements with local Brazilian companies. Participating enterprises from all sides recognized the broad prospects for cooperation in the bio-pharmaceutical industry chain among the Chinese Mainland, Macao, and Brazil, and agreed that this visit will help deepen economic and trade cooperation between Macao and Portuguese-speaking countries.


Cultural Affairs Bureau conducts structural monitoring of the Ruins of St. Paul’s

In order to strengthen the protection of the Ruins of St. Paul’s, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) will carry out a 3D laser scanning of the monument from 11:30pm to 7am, from 14 to 18 June. The corresponding collected data will later be analysed and compared in order to scientifically monitor the present status of structural integrity of the monument. To ensure public safety and carry out the necessary monitoring works, barricades will be temporarily placed in the forecourt of the Ruins of St. Paul’s during the abovementioned period, separating the public from the mentioned intervention area.


Temporary closure of adult fitness area of Reservatório Park for renovation of floor mats

As the adult fitness area of Reservatório Park has been in use for years, the floor mats have shown signs of aging and warping. Starting from 10 June, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) will carry out renovation works of the floor mats in the fitness area with replacement of the safety mats. The works are expected to last until 9 July while adjustments may be made in response to weather conditions.



UM presents Long Service Award and Outstanding Administrative Staff Award

The University of Macau (UM) today (8 June) held the Long Service Award and Outstanding Administrative Staff Award Ceremony 2025 to recognise the efforts and contributions of its faculty and staff. At the ceremony, 198 faculty and staff members were presented with Long Service Awards for reaching milestones of 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 years of service. In addition, 20 staff members received the Outstanding Administrative Staff Award and one received the Most Creative Slogan Award.
