UTM 2026 Open Day received an overwhelming response

As the Joint Admission Examination for Macao Four Higher Education Institutions (JAE) is currently open for applications, the Macao University of Tourism (UTM) held its 2026 Open Day at the Taipa Campus this afternoon (4 January). The diverse and fun-filled activities attracted students, parents and the public, to learn about the latest admission information and programme characteristics, while getting a real taste of university life and campus culture.


Cultural Affairs Bureau launches the “Historic Centre of Macao Route” inviting the public to explore the charm of the world heritage together

In order to facilitate residents and tourists to explore the world heritage site in Macao, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) has added the “Historic Centre of Macao Route” to the thematic website Macao Cultural Heritage Trails”. This feature guides the public to travel through the historic buildings and plazas in Macao, allowing them to deeply experience the distinctive charm of this historic centre. Detailed information about the route is available on the thematic website (www.culturalheritage.mo/en/plans) from today.


Macao Special Administrative Region’s 3rd Round of Talent Recruitment Programmes public briefing session will soon be open for registration

To facilitate public understanding of the details and application procedures for the 3rd Round of Talent Recruitment Programmes, the Talent Development Committee will organise two public briefing sessions. The first session is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on 15 January 2026, with registration open from 3 to 10 January. Individuals from around the world who are interested in applying for the programmes are welcome to participate.



Exhibit of Macao Post and Telecommunications Wins Gold Medal in International Competition

The 20th International Competition Class for Issuing Postal Authorities of UPU Member Countries and Territories, jointly organized by the Universal Postal Union and the International Federation of Philately, has been successfully completed. The exhibit of Macao Post and Telecommunications has won the Gold Medal of Group B (countries issuing between 30 and 69 postage stamps per year) with its outstanding performance in utlilty, design integrity and technical quality.


Annual Album 2025

Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will issue an exquisite “Annual Album 2025” on 5th January 2026. On the cover, two intertwined snakes with stamp-like textures coil gracefully to form an elegant infinity symbol, symbolizing the continuous and ever-lasting inheritance of philatelic culture. The tails of the snakes transform into a calligraphy brush and a pencil respectively, just like the small stamps, with one end engraved with the gravitas of history and the other depicting the brilliance of art. The background is adorned with various flowers, symbolizing Macao stamps being as delightful as flowers blooming in Spring.


CTT Launches Lunar Year of the Horse Greeting Card

As Chinese New Year is approaching, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will launch a Lunar Year of the Horse greeting card on5thJanuary 2026, which can be purchased at the General Post office and all other post offices, the Philatelic Shop of the General Post office and the Shop of the Communications Museum. Featuring galloping steeds that shows the vitality of Spring, the card carries auspicious meanings, conveying a strong festive atmosphere and sincere wishes.


CE: Aligning with country’s 15th Five-Year Plan, forging new prospects for Macao

The Chief Executive, Mr Sam Hou Fai, stressed that the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR) Government will continue resolutely and comprehensively to implement the “One country, two systems” principle, proactively align with the country’s 15th Five-Year Plan, and diligently formulate and implement the Third Five-Year Plan for Economic and Social Development of the MSAR. In doing so, the MSAR Government will live up to the expectations of President Xi Jinping and the central authorities, and the support they have shown for Macao.
