Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture visits local associations to gather opinions for 2027 Policy Address
The Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Ms O Lam, recently led senior officials from several departments under her policy portfolio on a series of visits to local associations. The visits were aimed at gathering opinions and suggestions regarding the formulation of the 2027 Policy Address in relation to social and cultural matters.

Giant pandas “Jian Jian” and “Kang Kang” to undergo quarantine inspection from 9 October before their training in Chengdu
After gaining the approval of the Central People’s Government and the relevant department of Macao Special Administrative Region Government, the giant pandas “Jian Jian” and “Kang Kang” are expected to embark on a journey of learning and growth in Chengdu in early November. The team of keepers have actively made a series of preparation efforts to arrange adaptability training for “Jian Jian” and “Kang Kang” and closely monitor their health and physical conditions, so as to ensure a smooth journey. To facilitate the relevant arrangements, “Jian Jian” and “Kang Kang” will undergo quarantine inspection from 9 October and will not be put on public display. The public are reminded to pay attention to the mentioned arrangement.

Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) joined the International & French Travel Market Top Resa 2026 (IFTM Top Resa or the “Travel Market”) at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles in Paris, France from 15 to 17 September. At the invitation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Office spotlighted Macao’s destination appeal at the pavilion of “Nihao! China” together with other provinces and municipalities for the first time, which represented a meaningful collaborative showcase. Making its debut at IFTM Top Resa, MGTO leveraged this premier travel trade fair in Europe to offer French and European travel trade a fascinating window onto the Macao SAR’s unique East-meets-West allure in “tourism+”, as part of the continuous dedication to expanding long-haul international visitor markets in Europe and the world.

CTT organized “Cybersecurity Vulnerability Management Workshop (2026)” to strengthen cybersecurity protection capabilities
Organized by the Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT), the “Cybersecurity Vulnerability Management Workshop (2026)” was successfully held on 19th September at the Auditorium of Macao Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre.
