Macao University of Tourism and Srinakharinwirot University of Thailand Sign MoU

On 9 April 2026, a delegation from Srinakharinwirot University (Thailand) visited the Macao University of Tourism (UTM). The two universities signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen exchanges and collaboration in areas including talent development and academic research. The signing ceremony was held at UTM’s Mong‑Há Campus, with the MoU signed by Dr. Fanny Vong, Rector of UTM, and Associate Professor Dr. Cholvit Jearajit, President of Srinakharinwirot University, on behalf of their respective universities.


Macao Polytechnic University holds Careers Day 2026 to embark students on their career journeys

Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) held the “MPU Careers Day 2026” on 14 April 2026 with the theme “Explore Career Horizons, Strive for Your Dreams”. The event brought together over 100 enterprises from Macao and the Greater Bay Area, covering various industries and offering more than 2,000 job and internship opportunities. By establishing a one-stop career development platform that integrates industry resources and job information, the event enabled students to stay tuned with industry trends and the job market, breathing new life into their career plans while further deepening collaboration between MPU and the broader community.


The Talent Development Committee carries out a series of talent recruitment work to create conditions for attracting international talents

In order to actively position Macao as an international hub for high-calibre talents, the Talent Development Committee has been carrying out a series of talent-related work and continuously strengthening the promotion of its talent policies to attract top international talents to Macao. Furthermore, the Committee is enhancing cooperation with the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, leveraging resource advantages and achieving synergies to create a favourable environment for drawing in top talents so as to achieve the aim of ‘building nests to attract phoenixes’.


Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau Wins First Place for “The Best Intaglio Stamp” in the “World's Best Stamps 2025” Competition

With its commitment to quality and aesthetics, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT) has won numerous international awards for Macao stamps over the years. Last year, with the “Rare Animals in China” souvenir sheet, CTT entered the “World's Best Stamps 2025” competition — jointly organized by the Universal Postal Union, the World Association for the Development of Philately and the Philatelic Federation of South Africa, and won the first place in the “The Best Intaglio Stamp” category.


“Solidary Film Festival on National Security” to be held from April to May offering complimentary tickets for screenings to the public

The “Solidary Film Festival on National Security” (hereinafter referred to as the “Film Festival”), jointly organised by the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, will be held from 15 April to 10 May. Seven films centred on national security will be screened. A limited number of complimentary tickets will be distributed to the public three days prior to each screening on a first-come, first-served basis.




UTM's educational initiatives featured on UNESCO's 20th Anniversary Celebration of the 2005 Convention webpage

The Macao University of Tourism (UTM) is pleased to announce that its series of teaching and learning activities related to Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) have been officially recognised by UNESCO as part of the 20th anniversary celebrations of the 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions. The submitted activities have been selected for publication on UNESCO’s dedicated anniversary webpage, and UTM has received a formal letter of appreciation from UNESCO for its valuable contribution.


Prize-giving ceremony is held today (12 April) for Student Drawing Contest, Photo Contest and AI Generative Art Contest of the 33rd Macao International Fireworks Display Contest

Organized by Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO),the33rdMacao International Fireworks Display Contest (“Fireworks Contest”)was held with success in September and October 2025. The prize-giving ceremony for the Fireworks Contest’s three outreach activities — theStudent Drawing Contest, Photo Contest and AI Generative Art Contest was held at the 14thMacao International Travel (Industry) Expo today (12 April), conferring a total of 104 awards upon the winners. The prize-winning artworks carry on the impact of “tourism + events” and manifest the city’s vibrant appeal.


【Grant of usage right】MGTO launches the IP Licensing Program for Macao Tourism Mascot “Mak Mak” to foster cultural tourism and creative industry development

Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) launches the “IP Licensing Program for Macao Tourism Mascot ‘Mak Mak’” (the “Program”) to accept applications from enterprises and community associations legally registered or established in the Macao Special Administrative Region. The categories include applications for commercial and non-commercial use. By granting the right of using the Macao SAR’s tourism mascot Mak Mak, the Office encourages entities to harness Mak Mak’s image to develop a diversity of products and experiences for branding Macao as a diverse destination. Their usage is set to elevate the brand’s influence and open up business opportunities, fostering the concerted development between “tourism + culture and creativity”.
