Inaugural “City-wide Courtesy” series of activities commence today to deepen understanding of concepts in civic education and create social atmosphere characterised by friendliness
For the continuous promotion of the civic education concepts of “Courtesy Living Charter”, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) hosts the inaugural “City-wide Courtesy” series of activities. Wong Sio Chak, Secretary for Administration and Justice, presided the opening ceremony held at Tap Seac Square today (17 October), marking the official start of a diverse programme comprising 16 types of activities across 43 sessions under the themes of knowledge competitions, parent-child education, guided cultural appreciation, and community inclusion that are open to members of the public, schools, and community organisations in Macao to join over a span of two weeks.

29th Lusofonia Festival kicks off next week Traditional music and dance performances to be held in the city districts showcasing the charm of Sino-Lusophone cultural exchange
Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) and co-organised by the Macao Government Tourism Office and the Municipal Affairs Bureau, the “29th Lusofonia Festival” will be held from 23 to 25 October at the Taipa Houses, further showcasing Macao’s charm of Sino-Lusophone cultural fusion. As part of the programme of this year’s Arts and Cultural Festival between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries, the activity “Where Culture Flourishes, Happiness Happens – Traditional Music and Dance Performances in the Community” will also be held on 24 and 25 October, bringing culture and arts closer to the public through traditional music and dance performances.

Cultural Affairs Bureau organises the participation of the performing arts industry in the 2nd Hong Kong Performing Arts Expo exhibiting Macao artistic works on the international exchange platform
The 2nd Hong Kong Performing Arts Expo (HKPAX), organised by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, was held from 9 to 13 October. In order to further promote Macao’s performing arts to the world, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) of the Macao SAR Government specially organised multiple works from the programme “Commissioning Performing Arts Productions” to participate in the 2nd HKPAX, presenting them to performing arts professionals from around the world and exploring opportunities for the development of Macao’s performing arts industry.
