Joint Seminar on “Sickness Allowance under Macao’s Social Security System” Hosted by the Livelihood Affairs Bureau of the Cooperation Zone and the Macao Social Security Fund

To promote accurate understanding among medical institutions in the Guangdong–Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin (hereinafter referred to as the Cooperation Zone) of the core requirements of the revised Macao Social Security System, and to ensure effective implementation of the new law, the Livelihood Affairs Bureau of the Cooperation Zone, together with the Macao Social Security Fund, held a special seminar on 8 April at the Hengqin Citizen Service Centre.



International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions holds symposium at UM

The University of Macau Library, in collaboration with the Information Technology Section of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) and the IFLA Asia-Oceania Regional Division, jointly held a symposium at the University of Macau (UM). Titled ‘Beyond Boundaries: New Modes of Access and Accessibility through Emerging Technologies’, the three‑day symposium brought together over 100 library professionals, scholars, technology experts, and policymakers from nearly 50 institutions across 12 countries and regions in Asia, Oceania, Africa, and the Americas to discuss the evolving role of libraries in an era of rapid technological change.


UM, Griffith University in Australia launch collaborative programme to cultivate international tourism management professionals

The Faculty of Business Administration of the University of Macau (UM) and Griffith University in Australia have jointly launched the ‘2.5+1.5 (International Integrated Resort Management – International Tourism and Hotel Management) Programme’ to cultivate tourism management professionals with a global outlook. Upon completion of the programme, students will receive a bachelor’s degree from each university. The programme will broaden students’ international perspectives, enhance their global competitiveness, and lay a solid foundation for their future careers.


14th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo will grandly open tomorrow (10 April) Trade Gathering Mini-Mart fosters cooperation in advance

Lifting the curtain upon the 14thMacao International Travel (Industry) Expo (the “Expo” or “MITE”) tomorrow (10 April), Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) has invited delegates of overseas travel agency associations to this international travel trade fair and a Trade Gathering Mini-Mart, which the Office leveraged the occasion to hold in advance today (9 April).
