Business climate survey on restaurants & similar establishments and retail trade for July 2018

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the business performance of the interviewed restaurants & similar establishments in July was less satisfactory than in June, with 39% of the interviewed establishments reporting a year-on-year growth in receipts, down by 8 percentage points from June. The corresponding proportions of Japanese & Korean Restaurants (33%) and Western Restaurants (26%) fell by 20 and 11 percentage points respectively. On the other hand, 34% of the interviewed establishments recorded a year-on-year decline in receipts, up by 8 percentage points from June.






MGTO joins UNWTO Global Summit on Urban Tourism in Seoul

Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) Director, Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, attended the 7th World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Global Summit on Urban Tourism in Seoul, Korea. Renewed schedule of Fireworks Contest in Macao – Fireworks on 21 and 25 September

The third night of fireworks displays (by French and Portuguese teams) originally scheduled for last Saturday (15 September) by the 29th Macao International Fireworks Display Contest, as well as the Fireworks Carnival on the same night, are now rescheduled to be held this coming Friday (21 September).
