Demographic statistics for the 3rd quarter of 2017
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the total population was 648,500 as at end-September 2017, a slight increase of 100 quarter-to-quarter; female population (343,400) accounted for 53.0% of the total.

“2017 Macao International Parade” gathers outstanding participating groups Special awards in creativity contests
Organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the “2017 Macao International Parade” in celebration of the 18th anniversary of Macao’s Handover to China, will be held on 17 December. This year, the Parade is themed with “features of local districts and historic monuments”, comprising 49 local and 15 foreign participating groups in a total of nearly 1,200 participants.

Consumer Council conducted its third ‘Supermarket price survey’ in November on 9 November for the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June. Surveyed locations included 13 supermarkets in Toi San, Ilha Verde and Fai Chi Kei areas in N. Sra. de Fátima Parish.
