Tickets for the 31st Macao International Music Festival on Sale from Sunday
The 31st Macao International Music Festival (MIMF), organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, will be held from 29 September to 30 October, featuring 17 programmes in a total of 20 excellent performances. Tickets will be available through the Macau Ticketing Network from 10am on Sunday, 6 August, while telephone and online bookings will be accepted from 12pm on the same day. On the first day of ticket sales, ticket purchases are limited to a maximum of 10 tickets per performance per person while ticket collection for free-admission performances is limited to 2 tickets per performance per person. The Cultural Affairs Bureau will distribute queuing vouchers at the Macau Ticketing Network starting from 9am on 6 August and purchasers holding the vouchers can buy the tickets according to the respective queuing vouchers.

Company statistics for the 2nd quarter of 2017
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that a total of 1,229 new companies were incorporated in the second quarter of 2017, an increase of 88 year-on-year. Total value of registered capital surged by 5,104.3% year-on-year to MOP7.3 billion, due to the incorporation of a fund company with a large capital. Analysed by industry, there were 378 newly incorporated companies operating in Wholesale & Retail and 309 in Business Services. Companies in dissolution totalled 195 in the second quarter, and the value of registered capital of companies in dissolution amounted to MOP30 million.

Monetary and financial statistics – June 2017
According to statistics released today by the Monetary Authority of Macao, money supply continued to grow in June with a stable share of patacas. On the other hand, both resident deposits and loans increased from a month earlier.

UM’s English immersion programme boosts students’ confidence in using English
The 2017 Summertime English: An Immersion Experience (STE), organised by the University of Macau’s (UM) English Language Centre (ELC), attracted over 76 secondary school students from Macao and overseas. Participants said the camp was inspiring and boosted their confidence in speaking English.

Tickets for “Haojiang Moonlight Night – Opera Warriors” on sale from next Tuesday
In order to mark the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office of the Ministry of Culture of the PRC and the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government organize “Haojiang Moonlight Night – Opera Warriors”, counting on the support of the Ministry of Culture of the PRC and the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture of the MSAR, as well as with the cooperation of the Shanxi Provincial Department of Culture. The performance takes to the Macao Cultural Centre Grand Auditorium stage on 15 and 16 September, at 8pm. Tickets will be on sale from next Tuesday (8 August) at the Macau Ticketing Network outlets.
