Clarification of rumor regarding the granting of visa free privilege to holders of Macau SAR Passport and holders of Macao SAR Travel Permit by the United States
In regard to a rumor on the Internet that holders of the Macao Special Administrative Region Passport and holders of the Macao Special Administrative Region Travel Permit are granted visa-free access to the United States, the Identification Services Bureau has been confirmed by the Consulate General of the United States in Hong Kong that the relevant news is not genuine. The immigration policy of the United States to the Macao Special Administrative Region remains unchanged. Currently, holders of the Macao Special Administrative Region Passport and holders of the Macao Special Administrative Region Travel Permit are still required to apply for relevant visas to enter the United States.

Consumer Council conducts price survey on selling prices of fresh pork and vegetables from Zhuhai and Macao
For the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June, Consumer Council on 5 April collects prices of fresh pork from wet markets and supermarkets for consumers’ reference. The mentioned data collected during 29 March to 4 April are used for comparing the average selling price of the same products from Zhuhai. The relevant data has been uploaded to the Council’s website for consumers’ reference.

Tse Chi Wai to give Doctor honoris causa Lecture on Chinese medical sciences
Tse Chi Wai, an honorary doctor of the University of Macau (UM) and a renowned educator, on Wednesday 12 April will give a Doctor honoris causaLecture, titled ‘A Stroke of Serendipity: How I Came to Join the Cause for the Advancement of Chinese Medicine’, at UM. Dr Tse will talk about how he became involved in research in Chinese medical sciences and the training of professionals in the field. He will also share his experiences in writing teaching materials for the subject and his views on the development of Chinese medical sciences in Macao. All are welcome.
