Big Data is not too big for SMEs Li Ning and Business Leaders Talk Big Data at MFE 2017´s Forum

The Forum on Chain and Franchise Business Opportunities of International Brands (the “Forum”), one of the key activities of the Macao Franchise Expo 2017, will take place at 4:30 p.m on July 28, at the Naples Room of the Venetian Macau. Li Ning, known as the “Prince of Gymnastics”, founder and chairman of the board of directors of Li Ning’s Brand, and also Macao´s “Conference Ambassador”, will be the keynote speaker. He will share on how his business is using Big Data to enhance performance. Also, for the first time, the Forum will be webcasted live, to make the event accessible for more people.

“Brand Expansion Continues - Business Opportunities to be Seized” – The Macao Franchise Expo 2017 (2017MFE) will be held from 28 to 30 July in Exhibition Hall ‘A’ of The Venetian Macao. The latest MFE has attracted – as have previous years – more than 100 international brands. This year’s MFE, serving as an important platform to promote franchise and retail chain business co-operation, will offer multiple activities and services to participants, including forums, business matching opportunities and experience sharing sessions. These activities will give exhibitors and participants the chance to interact and exchange information. This year, the organisers have prepared a “Startup Launchpad” Day and will be launching a “Gourmet Avenue” to give visitors the opportunity to taste delicacies from Macao manufacturers.

GMBPF 2017 opens on 28 July with Guangdong & Macao Delicacies Express bringing in a gourmet journey

Jointly organised by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute and Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, ‘Guangdong and Macao Branded Product Fair 2017’ (GMBPF 2017) is scheduled to take place at the Convention and Exhibition Centre Hall B, The Venetian Macao, from 28-30July. This year, the GMBPF will continue to be held as a carnival-style event embracing trade, cultural exchanges, shopping, leisure and entertainment, offering merchants and consumers a variety of quality products from Guangdong and Macao, while creating more opportunities for the development of trade and brands of the participating enterprises. With the new Myanmar Products Exhibition & Sales Area being introduced this year, the exhibition will bring in more quality products from the countries along the ‘Belt and Road’ and further strengthen trade and economic co-operation between Guangdong and Macao.


29th Macao Arts Festival Call for Proposals of Local Performances closes next Monday

The 29th Macao Arts Festival (MAF), organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), will be held next year in May. In order to promote the development of local arts, IC invites all registered local associations and individuals to submit proposals of local performances until 31 July (Monday). The selected works will be included in next year’s MAF programme.

Macao International Music Festival shines in its 31st edition

The 31st Macao International Music Festival (MIMF), organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, will be held from 29 September to 30 October, taking “Rising Stars” as theme this year. Top musicians and ensembles from Italy, South Africa, Germany, Russia, United States, Austria, Portugal, Korea, Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao offer 17 programmes in a total of 20 excellent performances. Aside from the renowned classics by great masters, the MIMF also takes the audience to move forward, feeling the vitality of new music performance.
