July is Contribution Month – FSS Encourages Use of Electronic Payment Channels

July is the contribution month for the second quarter of 2025 under the Social Security System. The Social Security Fund (commonly referred to as FSS in Macao) provides the "Make the Social Security Fund’s Payments" service on both the "Business & Associations Platform" and the "Macao One Account", allowing employers and arbitrary system beneficiaries to complete their payments online with ease and convenience.


Employment survey for March – May 2025

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that both the general unemployment rate (1.9%) and the unemployment rate of local residents (2.5%) for March - May 2025 remained the same as in the previous period (February - April 2025).

Cross-department Efforts Are Made to Jointly Host the“MICE Industry Seminar – Regulations on Personnel Employment and Management”

On June 26, the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), the Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) and the Public Security Police Force (CPSP), jointly organised the “MICE Industry Seminar – Regulations on Personnel Employment and Management”. The seminar explained the regulations and key points regarding the legal employment of personnel during exhibition events. The event was held at DSAL's Occupational Safety and Health Training Centre, with over 120 local representatives from the exhibition industry in attendance.
