“Macao.Hengqin Craft Market” inaugurated today

The “Macao.Hengqin Craft Market”, jointly organised by the Livelihood Affairs Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin and the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government (IC, in its Portuguese acronym), is held from today (12 June) to 15 June, at the Hengqin Culture and Art Complex, featuring 150 stalls of cultural and creative products from Mainland China, Macao, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.


The 6th Meeting of Steering Committee of IIICF is Held

The 6th Meeting of Steering Committee of IIICF was held on the first day (10 June) of the 16th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum & Exhibition (IIICF). Attendees included Secretary for Economy and Finance of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government Tai Kin Ip, and Director of the Department of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce Fan Shijie. They affirmed the successful organisation of IIICF, which, with the support of the Steering Committee, has continuously expanded its influence and received high acclaim from guests and the international infrastructure industry. Forward-looking recommendations were also proposed for IIICF’s future development to enhance internal and external connectivity and to achieve a greater impact on the international stage.


16th IIICF Opens on 11 June Gathering Over 3,500 International Politicians and Businesspeople to Foster Infrastructure Connectivity

The opening ceremony of the 16th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum & Exhibition was held on 11 June. Over 3,500 delegates from more than 70 countries and regions, including nearly 70 ministerial-level officials and business and government leaders in the global infrastructure sector, are attending the 16th IIICF. Focusing on hot topics and cutting-edge issues in global infrastructure, such as regional infrastructure integration, energy transition, and intelligent construction, the event is expected to forge a new path toward “Enhanced Connectivity for Win-Win Co-operation” in global infrastructure development.


Two Index Reports Released at 16th IIICF Leveraging Macao’s Role as International Platform for High-quality Participation in and Support for BRI

“The Report on the Belt and Road Infrastructure Development Index (2025)” and “The Report on Portuguese-speaking Countries’ Infrastructure Development Index and Macao’s Achievements in Belt and Road Initiative (2025)” were officially released on 11 June at the 16th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum & Exhibition (IIICF). The aim is to promote high-quality participation in, and support for, the “Belt and Road” Initiative (BRI), and to leverage Macao’s role as a “precise contact” between China and Portuguese-speaking countries (PSC).


UM students join exchange trip to Peking University

Cheng Yu Tung College (CYTC) of the University of Macau (UM) organised an exchange trip for its students and faculty to Yuanpei College of Peking University. The trip aimed to deepen the students’ understanding of Chinese culture, strengthen cooperation between the two colleges, and celebrate their ten-year partnership.

Intermittent interruption of certain electronic services due to maintenance of IAM information system

The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) will carry out maintenance of the information system from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on 15 June 2025. During the period, certain electronic services will be interrupted intermittently. The public are advised to pay attention to the arrangement.
