199,622 samples collected yesterday among persons in key areas, key groups and those leaving home for work; all results are negative

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announces that with regard to the NAT drive for persons in key areas, key groups, and those who need to leave home for work, a total of 199,622 samples have been collected yesterday (7 August), all results are negative.


Residential property price index for April – June 2022

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the overall residential property price index for April - June 2022 decreased by 0.3% over the previous period (March - May 2022) to 258.7. The indices for the Macao Peninsula (259.0) and Taipa & Coloane (257.7) dropped by 0.2% and 0.5% respectively.


MUR assists Son Lei House property owners to set up management committee

Macau Urban Renewal Limited (MUR) is promoting the Iao Hon Estate old neighbourhood renewal project. To address the estate’s property owners’ need for assistance, the company is helping condominium owners from the estate’s seven blocks of flats hold general assembly meetings and set up management committees (also known as property owners’ associations) with the aim of uniting homeowners and encouraging them to play an active role in the estate’s redevelopment process.

Booth Availability Doubled Exhibitor’s Fee for Macao SME Exhibition Area at the 27th MIF Lowered to MOP 500

The 27th “Macao International Trade and Investment Fair” (MIF) organised by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) will be held at Cotai Expo, the Venetian Macao from 20 to 22 October 2022. At this year’s MIF, number of booths in the "Macao SME Exhibition Area" is doubled to 160 and a discounted exhibitor’s fee, MOP 500 – is offered to eligible Macao small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), helping them to explore business opportunities. Interested enterprises are welcome to register online from 8 to 22 August on IPIM’s online system.


Supplies delivery service for Edf. Polytec Garden (Bloco 1) suspended today to facilitate nucleic acid tests for households

As the Health Bureau has arranged for the households in the newly added Red Code Zone Edf. Polytec Garden (Bloco 1) to undergo nucleic acid sampling in the afternoon today (8 August), the Subsistence Team has to suspend the service of delivering supplies from relatives and friends for the households in Edf. Polytec Garden (Bloco 1) originally scheduled for 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Relevant households are advised to ask their relatives and friends not to send supplies to the site today.


Payment Card and Mobile Payment Statistics – 2nd Quarter 2022

According to statistics released today by the Monetary Authority of Macao, the total numbers of personal credit cards and debit cards issued by banks in Macao increased in the second quarter of 2022. The credit card and debit card turnover both witnessed quarter-to-quarter decreases. On the other hand, the number and the value of transactions of local mobile payment tools continued to rise on a quarterly basis.


Key Area NAT for the vicinity of the Border Gate Checkpoint to be launched on 8 August

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre received a report from Zhuhai this morning (7 August) that a case tested positive for COVID-19 by nucleic acid test (NAT) has recent travel records between Macao and Zhuhai. Since the case has repeatedly travelled through the Barrier Gate Checkpoint on 5 and 6 August, in order to assess the risk of COVID-19 transmission in the local community, a Key Area NAT drive will be launched for individuals who live or work at the key areas frequently visited by the positive case.
