The Graduation Ceremony of MPU Seniors Academy Was Successfully Held and 110 Students Graduated
The 2021/2022 graduation ceremony of the MPU Seniors Academy (ACS) was successfully held in early September 2022. A total of 110 students graduated. The graduation ceremony was held online, and during the ceremony student service certificates and outstanding teacher awards were presented. The graduates’ relatives and friends watched the ceremony online and gave their blessings, sharing the joy of the graduates.

2022 Galaxy Entertainment Macao International Marathon to be held on 4 December
The 2022 Galaxy Entertainment Macao International Marathon, jointly organized by the Sports Bureau and the General Association of Athletics of Macau, and title-sponsored by Galaxy Entertainment Group, will be held on 4 December. A certificate presentation cum plaque unveiling ceremony for the national science education base at the University of Macau (UM) was held today (21 September). The base is testament to the country’s recognition of UM’s efforts in science education. Some locations in green areas in Avenida da Praia, Taipa to be partially enclosed during installation of video recording system
The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) will successively install video recording and surveillance system in the ecological trail and venue for flower exhibition in Avenida da Praia, Taipa and Taipa Municipal Garden from mid-September for optimisation of the security management of the venues. The public are reminded that the relevant locations will be partially enclosed according to actual situation during this period.

UM team makes important progress in research of new materials for energy storage
A research team led by Hui Kwun Nam, associate professor in the Institute of Applied Physics and Materials Engineering (IAPME), University of Macau (UM), has recently made important progress in the research of anode materials for potassium-ion batteries, which is expected to provide solutions for poor cycling stability problems for the development of the next generation of energy storage systems. The team has also further optimised the materials to achieve higher energy density while improving the stability and safety of the batteries. The two research results have been published in the international journal Advanced Energy Materials and Advanced Functional Materials and have applied for patents in China.
