Package tours and hotel occupancy rate for May 2022
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that a total of 121 hotel establishments offered accommodation services to the public in May 2022, an increase of 7 year-on-year; number of available guest rooms rose by 4.6% to 39,000. Data on hotel establishments designated for medical observation and self-health monitoring were excluded in the compilation of the results. The average occupancy rate of guest rooms in May dropped by 27.9 percentage points year-on-year to 34.2%; the rate for 5-star hotels was 31.3%, which was lower than the sector’s average.

IAM urges public not to throw domestic waste into sewers as that may cause drainage blockage and increase risk of pandemic spread
During the pandemic, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) continues to strengthen the unclogging and clearance of sewers and municipal pumping stations to ensure smooth operation of the drainage system and avoid the risk of pandemic spread caused by drainage blockage. Recently, a large amount of domestic waste such as towels and masks has been found in public sewers, which not only seriously affected the operation of the sewers, but could also easily cause sewage backflow, increasing the risk of pandemic spread in the community.

Cultural Affairs Bureau postpones the “hush! Summer Concert”
In line with the SAR Government’s epidemic prevention and control measures, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) closed its cultural facilities and suspended all cultural activities and external services. In view of the pandemic impact, the “hush! Summer Concert”, originally scheduled to be held from 9 to 10 July, will be postponed, and the submission period of the short video competition “hush! 300 Seconds” will also be extended accordingly. Moreover, the clarification session of the “hush! Fair” will be suspended. The date of the abovementioned activities will be rescheduled and announced in due course.

Citywide NAT Programme will end today (June 28) at 6 p.m. 170,000 unsampled citizens should take the test as soon as possible
The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre stated that, the current Citywide NAT Programme will end today (June 28) at 6:00 p.m.. As of 10:00 a.m. today, there are still 170,000 citizens who have not been sampled. So far, all stations have a smooth flow of people, and all general stations with a waiting time of less than 15 minutes do not need an appointment. The public should go to take the test as soon as possible. In addition, employers are urged to handle with discretion the time employees go to take the test.

IAS releases video tutorial to instruct the elderly to take rapid COVID-19 antigen tests
To better complement the SAR Government’s anti-epidemic measures and to instruct the elderly to conduct rapid self-antigen testing, the Social Welfare Bureau (IAS) has released a short, step-by-step video tutorial featuring live demonstration. The video can be accessed by visiting https://youtu.be/DHJHpeur__w or scanning the QR code below. IAS hopes that social service organisations and different sectors of the community will help disseminate the video widely and calls on the public to help the elderly at home or around them to learn the steps of taking the rapid antigen tests and report results.

13 positive mixed samples detected in Citywide NAT; Concerned NAT stations and sampling time announced
The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre stated that, with regard to the present mass testing drive which began at 9:00am yesterday (27 June), as of 9:00am today (28 June), a total of 13 tubes of 10-in-1 mixed samples have been tested positive.

57 additional positive cases between 00:00-24:00 yesterday (27 June), taking the total to 414
The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announces that from 00:00 to 24:00 yesterday (27 June), Macao has recorded 57 additional cases that have tested positive by nucleic acid tests, taking the total number of cases to 414. Among the new cases, 33 were detected in the community, 24 were detected in individuals under management and control. Itineraries of the above cases will be uploaded to the Special Webpage Against Epidemics for public reference soon.
