How to handle it

Application time: Applicants or people they authorise may make an appointment on the Online Appointment Booking System (https://www.ipim.gov.mo/service-booking-form/en) to file a temporary residency application. Appointments can also be made in-person at the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute, and applicants may submit all required documents on the specified date.
Required documents: According to different types of application, applicants should submit the corresponding documents:

• Guidelines on temporary residency renewal application based on investment in real estate
• Guidelines on temporary residency extension (for family dependents) application based on investment in real estate
• Guidelines on temporary residency renewal application as managerial personnel or technicians with special qualifications
• Guidelines on temporary residency extension (for family dependents) application as managerial personnel or technicians with special qualifications
• Guidelines on temporary residency application based on major investment / major investment plan
• Guidelines on temporary residency renewal application based on major investment / major investment plan

Within 45 days of the application – the counting will be halted according to the period specified in Paragraph 2 under Article 15 of Administrative Regulation No 3/2005.

Remark/Application Instructions

1. Administrative Regulation No 7/2007 came into effect on 4 April 2007, which terminates effect of Item (4) of Article 1 and Article 3 of Administrative Regulation No 3/2005 (Residency Regime for Investors, Management and Technical Personnel).

1.1 Based on the above administrative regulation, IPIM stopped accepting residency applications based on investment in real estate from 4 April 2007.
1.2 The termination does not apply to:
1.2.1 Residency renewal applications;
1.2.2 Applications for residency extension to family dependents of applicants whose residency is already approved;
1.2.3 Applications filed to IPIM before the enforcement of the administrative regulation.
1.3 The termination is also not applicable to applications that have been registered and are on the waiting list but have not yet been officially accepted.
