How to Apply
Time of application
In accordance with the provision of paragraph 2 of Article 12 of Decree-Law no. 84/90/M dated 31st December, which was amended by Decree-Law no. 20/98/M of 18th May, the Permit for Premises Providing Healthcare Services is valid for 1 year, and must be renewed within 60 days after the expiry date; otherwise, the permit will become invalid.
Application procedures and documents required
- A copy of the permit or the proof of renewal of the previous year should be presented.
- Certificate of safe operation for elevator equipment and relevant data (if applicable).
- Records of the annual calibration, maintenance and repair of the x-ray apparatus(if applicable).
Online application: This can be processed through the “Online System for Renewal of Professional Licence of Medical Activity”.
Note: A copy of the policy of Professional Civil Liability Mandatory Insurance should be submitted each year.

This can be done by accessing the “Online System for Renewal of Professional Licence of Medical Activity”.
MOP 330 (stamp duty included).
Application Processing Time
In-person application: Upon receipt and verification of all required documents, the renewal of permit will be completed within 15 minutes; applicants will be issued with a receipt and proof of renewal.(Performance Pledge)
Online application: Upon receipt and verification of all required documents, the proof of renewal will be posted within 3 working days (not including the time for posting or collection)(Performance Pledge).
Remarks/Notes for Application
When applying for permit renewal via the online system, the applicant should enter, verify or alter their information according to the instructions, and pay the renewal fee. If any incorrect or missing information is found, the applicant will be notified by phone for supplementary information.

Application status enquiry: Not available online.
Collection of application result: In person or by post.
