Registration for Automated Passenger Clearance System for non-residents of Macao


How to apply

Application procedures and necessary documents:

  • Registration for e-Channel for ‘Non-resident Workers and their Dependants / Non-resident Students’
  1. Valid passport or travel document used for application for “Non-resident Worker’s Identification Card” or “Special Authorization to Stay”;
  2. “Revenue Receipt” of application for “Non-resident Worker’s Identification Card”;
  3. Original “Receipt” of application for “Special Authorization to Stay” for Non-resident Students (aka “student visa”) .
  • Registration for e-Channel for ‘Hong Kong Residents’
  1. Permanent Residents: Original of the Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card.
  2. Non-permanent Residents: Original of the HKSAR Document of Identity for Visa Purposes and Hong Kong Identity Card.
  • Registration for e-Channel for ‘Residents of Mainland China’

Original of the “PRC Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao for Official Purpose” which is used to apply for the “Special Stay Permit”.

  • Registration for e-Channel for ‘Foreign residents’

Original of the Australian passport, Korean passport, Portuguese passport, Singaporean passport, Brazilian passport or German passport for registration.

  • Registration for e-Channel for ‘Residents of Region of Taiwan’

Original of the card-form Taiwan Compatriot Permit.

Remarks / Points to note

  1. Persons who have completed the procedures of registration for the automated passenger clearance system can use the registered travel document and the traditional automated channels at any of the checkpoints in Macao for entry and departure clearance. The joint inspection automated channels at the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Checkpoint, the Checkpoint of Macao Port Zone of Hengqin Port and the Qingmao Checkpoint are applicable to eligible users only.
  2. Persons who have or have not registered their fingerprints may still use the traditional channels for immigration clearance.
  3. Minors aged 7 to 17 (11 to 17 for Hong Kong residents) are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and produce the original of the birth certificate of the applicant and the identification document of the parent or guardian for registration. (If accompanied by a guardian, the proof of legal relationship should also be provided.)
  4. Mainland residents who are aged 7 or above, holders of a card-form electronic Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao, and have authorized us to use their fingerprint template data when they apply for the Permit can use the automated channels for immigration clearance without registering for the service.
  5. At the time of registration, Hong Kong non-permanent residents are required to possess a HKSAR Document of Identity for Visa Purposes and a Hong Kong Identity Card, both of which should be valid for more than 90 days. Besides, the information contained in the two documents should be exactly the same.
  6. Foreign residents’ passport used in the registration for automated passenger clearance service should have a validity of 90 days or more.
  7. When going through registration procedures, holders of a card-form Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents (Taiwan Compatriot Permit) will be requested by our staff to present the Permit as well as their identification document and other travel document for the purpose of identity verification.
  8. In case the document provided by the applicant is not in Chinese, Portuguese or English, an authenticated Chinese, Portuguese or English translation should be attached.
