How to apply

Application procedures and necessary documents:

Checkpoint of Macao Port Zone of Hengqin Port

  1. Using a Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao (with a valid multiple endorsement to Macao), having authorized the competent authorities in Hong Kong and Macao to use their biometrics for automated immigration clearance when applying for the above document.
  2. Using a (electronic/non-electronic) Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao for Official Purposes (with a valid multiple endorsement to Macao), having registered for the automated immigration clearance service of Macao and Mainland for holders of a non-electronic Permit.
Macao residents
(via automated vehicular lanes)
  1. Using a Macao Resident Identity Card and a Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents (including non-Chinese citizens), having registered for the automated immigration clearance service of the Mainland.
  2. Using a Macao Resident Identity Card and a foreign passport (with a Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card of the PRC), having registered for the automated immigration clearance service of Macao and Mainland.
  3. Using a Macao Resident Identity Card and a foreign electronic passport (with a Foreigner’s Residence Permit of the PRC valid for over 6 months), having registered for the automated immigration clearance service of Macao and Mainland.
Hong Kong residents
(via automated vehicular lanes)

Using a Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card and a Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents (including non-Chinese citizens), having registered for the automated immigration clearance service of Macao and Mainland.
All people

  1. Nationals of countries exempted from a visa to enter Macao and using a valid document may go through entry clearance procedures on-board the vehicle at the arrival vehicular lanes of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Checkpoint.
  2. Using a valid document to go through departure clearance procedures on-board the vehicle at the departure vehicular lanes of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Checkpoint
Minors who are not mentioned above and below the age of 18 (only under the condition that they are unaccompanied by an adult passenger)

Remarks / Points to note

  1. Passengers on-board a light vehicle that seats 9 people can remain in the car during immigration clearance;
  2. Heavy passenger vehicles and vehicles that seats more than 9 people are generally not allowed to carry passengers, with the exception of those that got an approval in advance in special situations.
  3. Drivers from Macao should follow the instruction of the police constable to scan the QR code when using “My border crossing”.  In consideration of the setting of the specific inspection process of the vehicle channels, and for the sake of convenience of the public, on-board passengers are required to use their physical Resident Identity Card for immigration clearance, so as to ensure the efficiency and security of the clearance at vehicle channels;
