Language: Cantonese
Target Participants: aged 13 or above

1014 brings together nanyin (Cantonese narrative singing) and jazz, opening up a dialogue between tradition and contemporaneity. With the structured form of nanyin set against the improvisational freedom of jazz, how do these two musical languages meet and interact on stage to create a new performance experience?

In this sharing session, the creative team behind 1014 will unpack the work, offering insights into its artistic vision and the process behind it. They will also reflect on fundamental questions of artistic practice – why create, and how?
