Residential property price index for July – September 2019
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the overall residential property price index for July - September 2019 decreased by 0.1% over the previous period (June - August 2019) to 267.6. The index for the Macao Peninsula (268.6) dropped by 0.2% while that for Taipa & Coloane (263.2) rose by 0.5%.

Consumer Council released 2nd supermarket price survey report of the current month
The Consumer Council conducted its ‘Supermarket price survey’ of the first-half of November on 7 November for the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June. Surveyed locations included 13 supermarkets in São Lázaro, São Lourenço and Sé Parishes. Consumers may now check the report data on the Council’s website (www.consumer.gov.mo), the “Supermarket Price Information Platform” app, or the Council’s WeChat account.

Macao International Parade holds “Lectures on Cultural Topics” on campuses for students to experience different cultures Registration is open for schools
The 2019 Macao International Parade, organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Macao’s Handover to China, will be held on 8 December. In order to promote the popularization of art education and bring the jubilance of the Parade to local schools, the Organizer invited some art groups to perform, interact and share their experience with students on campuses. All interested schools are welcome to register.

Concert “Rhythm in Your Rubbish” by the Macao Orchestra to be postponed
The concert “Rhythm in Your Rubbish” by the Macao Orchestra, under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, originally scheduled to be heldon 1 December, at 2:30pm and 5:30pm, at the Macao Tower Auditorium, and the associated “Music Workshop” originally scheduled to be heldon 30 November, will be postponed due to programme adjustments. The procedures for refunding or changing tickets will be announced in due course. We apologize for any inconveniences.

Consumer Council tested 20 hand-shaken beverages High contents of sugar and calories affect consumers’ health
The Consumer Council and Food Safety Department of the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) co-tested 20 non-prepackaged beverages including “Bubble Tea”, “Brown Sugar Bubble Tea” and “Brown Sugar Bubble Milk” to determine their ingredients. Test result shows that all 20 samples contain high level of sugar, continuous intake of these drinks may increase the risk of getting chronic cardiovascular disease. Consumers are suggested not to over-consume and choose less or no sugar when choosing this kind of drinks.
