The DSEJ announces closure of facilities
Due to the novel coronavirus epidemic situation, the DSEJ announces that the various educational activity centres and youth centres, the Pavilion of Love and Feelings for the Country and Home, youth hostels, the Art Exhibition Pavilion for the Youth, sports stadium and different study rooms under the DSEJ will be closed temporarily until further notice. The DSEJ will communicate with the groups that have reserved the venues for rescheduling or refund. The DSEJ will continue to closely monitor the development of the epidemic situation and make corresponding arrangements in due course, and thanks to the public for their understanding and cooperation.

Local mask supply is sufficient, masks delivered to Macao totals 9.8 million at present and are up to quality standards
Under the Guaranteed Mask Supply for Macao Residents Scheme launched by the MSAR Government yesterday (23rd January), a total of 20 million masks have been procured. These masks are intended to be allocated to 56 contracted pharmacies across Macao for purchase by people holding permanent or non-permanent resident identity card or non-resident worker’s identification card (commonly known as the “blue card”). Since yesterday, a total of 9.8 million masks have been delivered to Macao. It is believed that the newly arrived masks can effectively alleviate the situation of the risen market demand for masks; therefore, local residents need not panic or rush to pharmacies for purchasing. Besides, with an aim to ensuring the quality of the masks, the Health Bureau will conduct spot-checks and require all 56 contracted pharmacies to perform the final gate-keeping role before selling the masks, so as to ensure that the masks available to the public meet the quality assurance standards.

To facilitate eligible individuals of the “Guaranteed Mask Supply for Macao Residents Scheme” to purchase masks during Lunar New Year, 8 health centres and 2 health stations subordinated to the Health Bureau (including Hac Sa Wan Health Centre, Fai Chi Kei Health Centre, Ilha Verde Health Centre, Tap Seac Health Centre, Hoi Pong Health Centre, Fong Son Tong Health Centre, Ocean Gardens Health Centre, Nossa Senhora do Carmo - Lago Health Centre, Seac Pai Van (Coloane) Temporary Health Station) will open during 25th to 29th January (09:00-13:00, 14:00-18:00) for members of the public to purchase masks.

The MSAR Government launched the Guaranteed Mask Supply for Macao Residents Scheme yesterday (23rd January). People holding permanent or non-permanent resident identity card or non-resident worker’s identification card (commonly known as the “blue card”) may register and purchase at 56 contracted pharmacies in Macao, each individual can purchase 10 masks every 10 days. Besides, 7 contracted pharmacies will be opening during Lunar New Year’s Day, 2nd Day and 3rd Day (details as per attached list).
