30th Macao Arts Festival adds performance of the local show Wonder.Land Tickets on sale from 13 April
The 30th Macao Arts Festival (MAF), organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), will be held from 3 May to 2 June. A number of programmes have been highly sought after since the first day of ticket sales, and therefore the organizer had organised an additional performance of the local show Wonder.Land, to be held on 4 May, at 3pm. Tickets will be on sale from 10am on 13 April at the Macau Ticketing Network outlets, and they may also be purchased on the internet or by phone.

Three new agreements furthering Hebei-Macao ties
Macao and Hebei Province have signed an aggregate of three agreements about furthering bilateral ties on the following topics: development of Xiongan New Area; economic and trade affairs; and cooperation on traditional Chinese medicine.

MGTO Director visits Macau University of Science and Technology to enhance communication and discuss prospects for the tourism industry with youths
Director of Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, visited the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) yesterday (11 April) to listen to opinions from students and engage in discussions with them on the future of the tourism industry. Students enthusiastically raised questions and shared their views on the opportunities brought by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area development and what Macao has to offer as a travel destination among other topics. Senna Fernandes was delighted that students took the initiative to express their concern for Macao’s tourism industry and voice their ideas actively, and hoped that the Office can enhance communication with youths by organizing such activity.

Opening of MAM's‘Italian Renaissance Drawings from the British Museum’ manifests humanistic spirit
The exhibition “Italian Renaissance Drawings from the British Museum”, organised by the Macao Museum of Art (MAM), under the Cultural Affairs Bureau, and the British Museum, and supported by Suzhou Museum and the Faculty of Creative Industries of the University of Saint Joseph, was inaugurated on the third floor of the MAM at 6:30pm today (11 April).

Three international conferences in big data and artificial intelligence held in Macao
The University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Science and Technology, the UM State Key Lab of Internet of Things for Smart City, and the Macao Convention and Exhibition Association, have successfully assisted Macao in obtaining the right to host the three most influential international conferences in the areas of big data and artificial intelligence, namely the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers International Conference on Data Engineering 2019 (ICDE 2019), the Pacific-Asia Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining 2019 (PAKDD 2019), and the International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence 2019 (IJCAI 2019).

UM to hold Open Day this Sunday
The University of Macau (UM) will hold the Open Day on Sunday 14 April from 11:00am to 5:00pm. All Macao residents, students and their parents, as well as visitors to Macao are welcome to attend the event. There will be various activities, including course consultation, lectures, recreational and sports activities, performances, fun experiments, workshops, game booths, and family-friendly games. Souvenirs will be given out to participants. Friends from the Greater Bay Area are also welcome to join us on the Open Day and learn more about UM’s latest developments, model of education, and campus life.
