CE to attend Legislative Assembly meeting tomorrow

The Chief Executive, Mr Chui Sai On, will attend a plenary session of the Legislative Assembly tomorrow (18 April) to answer Assembly members’ questions on Government policy and social issues.


IC announces list of beneficiaries of the “2018 Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making”

The second review of the “2018 Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making”, organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), has been completed and a total of eight applicants were selected. IC will grant each eligible applicant a subsidy of up to MOP170,000 for sample making and promotional works.



23 April registration deadline for legal-person voters to take part in CE Election Committee process: Electoral Affairs Commission

The Electoral Affairs Commission for the Chief Executive Election has issued a reminder that 23 April is the closing date for legal-person voters to register for the right to have a role in the selection process regarding the formation of the Chief Executive Election Committee.




The 51st Session of Codex Committee on Pesticide Residues held in Macao successfully

The 51st Session of Codex Committee on Pesticide Residues (CCPR) was successfully held in Macao for 6 consecutive days. Consensus on various issues was reached with the active participation of all participating countries and organisations, and the desired objectives of the session were achieved. The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) participated in this year’s session as a member of the delegation of China to learn about the latest global trends in pesticide residue limits, which assists the establishment of food safety standards that meet international requirements in Macao. The standard of “Maximum Limits of Pesticide Residues in Food” will be issued this year to further strengthen the specifications of food safety standards in Macao.


Consumer Council released 5th supermarket price survey report of the current month

The Consumer Council conducted its ‘Supermarket price survey’ of the second-half of April on 15 April for the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June. Surveyed locations included 14 supermarkets in N. Sra. de Fátima Parish. Consumers may now check the report data on the Council’s website (www.consumer.gov.mo), the “Supermarket Price Information Platform” app, or the Council’s WeChat account.



Work on complementary legislation related to National Security Law in progress: Secretary

The Secretary for Security, Mr Wong Sio Chak, today said the Government was fully committed to advancing work on complementary laws and regulations for the further implementation of Macao’s National Security Law.
