Voters reminded not to reveal voting intention at Sunday’s polling
Voters taking part in Sunday’s polling to choose members of the Chief Executive Election Committee are not allowed by law to reveal their polling preference. After voting, they cannot reveal their preference to others either at the polling station or within 100 metres of it.

Foreign exchange reserves and nominal effective exchange rate index for the pataca – May 2019
The Monetary Authority of Macao announced today that the preliminary estimate of Macao SAR’s foreign exchange reserves amounted to MOP164.3 billion (USD20.36 billion) at the end of May 2019. The reserves decreased by 0.2% from the revised value of MOP164.7 billion (USD20.39 billion) for the previous month. Macao SAR’s foreign exchange reserves at end-May 2019 represented 10 times the currency in circulation or 80.7% of pataca M2 at end-April 2019.

Macao attends UNESCO Creative Cities Network Annual Conference in Italy, signs memorandum with Shunde
Macao is joining delegates of cities from around the world to participate in the 13rd UNESCO Creative Cities Network Annual Conference that opened yesterday (June 12) at the Creative City of Crafts and Folk Art of Fabriano, in Italy. During the major annual gathering of the network, aside from presenting the initiatives developed over the past year and plans ahead as a Creative City of Gastronomy, Macao also joined other Creative Cities of Gastronomy to sign a memorandum of agreement to enhance joint activities in a project initiated by the Creative City of Gastronomy of Shunde.

Consumer Council released 4 th supermarket price survey report of the current month
The Consumer Council conducted its ‘Supermarket price survey’ of the first-half of June on 13 June for the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June. Surveyed locations included 10 supermarkets in Santo António Parish. Consumers may now check the report data on the Council’s website (www.consumer.gov.mo), the “Supermarket Price Information Platform” app, or the Council’s WeChat account.

Cooperation between Consumer Council and Brazil’s PROTESTE
Representatives from the Consumer Council visited Rio de Janeiro earlier for a meeting with PROTESTE, the consumer protection organization in Brazil, to discuss on the setup of a long-term communication mechanism. The Council’s representatives were received by Maria Inês Dolci, Vice President of Directors Council of PROTESTE, and Pedro Moreira, Executive Director of PROTESTE, both parties agreed to sign a cooperation agreement to implement the relevant mechanism.

AACM publishes new approach procedures enhancing operational safety and efficiency of aircraft when landing at Runway 16
The Civil Aviation Authority of Macao SAR (AACM) has published new approach procedures and approved Air Macau to adopt the new procedures for their aircraft landings. Commencing today, with AACM’s authorization to adopt the procedures, air operators can benefit from the reduced number of go-arounds and flight diversions resulting from unfavourable weather conditions when performing landings (from North to South) at Runway 16. The new procedures greatly enhance the operational safety and efficiency of the aircraft when landing at Runway 16.
