The Macau Polytechnic Institute is ready to kick off a whole host of exciting and enriching activities during its annual Open Day scheduled for January 5 (Saturday) on the main campus at Gomez Street. Activities will include presentations by faculty and staff, sharing of learning experiences, teaching demonstrations, and fun games at booths. Through these events, prospective high school graduates, as well as people from all walks of life and the general public can expect to have a deeper understanding of the management philosophy and vision of MPI. To celebrate the coming Chinese New Year, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will issue a lucky ornament titled “Macao’s Lunar Year of the Pig”. It is engraved with laser techniques for highlighting our headquarters’ building and a thin wooden card with the wooden pig stamp image affixed on the other side. The unique design is certainly a precious and commemorative collectable. It will be available for sale on 5^th January 2019 at the Philatelic Shop of General Post Office, Maritime Ferry Terminal Post Office, Airport Post Office and the Communications Museum and from 7^th January 2019 at “Rua do Campo” Post Office. The selling price is MOP15.00.

“Annual Album of Stamps 2018” and “Annual Album of Souvenir Sheets 2018”

Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will issue two annual albums on 8^th January 2019, which are “Annual Album of Stamps 2018” and “Annual Album of Souvenir Sheets 2018”. Their covers are printed in light green and pink respectively, and together with the hot foil stamping with bronze title,illustrated with a dog whose shape is a long composition of stamps, symbolize the longevity. There are technical data printed on the pages.

Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will issue an exquisite “Annual Album 2018” on 18^th January 2019. The design of the protective hardcover highlights the “8” of the year 2018, an auspicious number in China, which in “∞” form is a symbol of the infinite. The dog along with some of Macao’s main attractions, symbolizes that this trustworthy and loyal animal is protecting Macao’s unique prosperity and culture. This album comprises the full collection of 14 sets of stamps and 11 souvenir sheets issued in 2018, on which the colour stamp images and the technical data are printed on the pages.
