Forum on Chain and Franchise Business Opportunities of International Brands Held with Success Enterprise Singapore: via Macao to Support Enterprises in Seizing Business Opportunities in the Greater Bay Area

“The Forum on Chain and Franchise Business Opportunities of International Brands”-one of the highlights of “The Macao Franchise Expo 2018” (2018MFE)-was held successfully this afternoon, allowing the participants to explore fresh opportunities of consumption upgrade. In addition to the approximately 140 participants in attendance, the 2018MFE was also broadcast live to Mainland China and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in particular, attracting over 120 thousand viewers online. Enterprise Singapore participating in the forum expected to leverage the strength of Macao as a platform to help enterprises and brands from Singapore to seize opportunities in the Greater Bay Area.


2018MFE Kicks off-Supporting Enterprises and Brands in Seeking A Myriad of Opportunities

The Macao Franchise Expo 2018 (2018MFE) opened today (27 July). With the theme “Brand Expansion Continues, Business Opportunities to Be Seized”, the 2018MFE attracted over 100 enterprises to participate, covering sectors such as catering, retail, brand agency services, consultancy and more. Marking its 10th anniversary, the 2018MFE features elements related to the “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”, smart retail and youth entrepreneurship. Through forums, exhibitions, business-matching sessions and the Gourmet Avenue, the three-day event will build a platform for match-making and exchange between exhibitors and trade visitors, seizing the opportunities for development and leveraging MFE’s role as a key trading platform. On the first day of the MFE, 10 agreements were signed at the Protocol Signing Ceremony, and a total of 65 business matching sessions were successfully held at the Business Matching Area by means of the Online Business Matching Service Platform.


Cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area Sign Agreements to Deepen Co-operation

Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) has signed five co-operation memoranda and co-operation agreements at the Opening Ceremony of the Guangdong & Macao Branded Products Fair 2018. Some of the guests from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area who signed the documents revealed that they hoped the signing of these documents could better realize Macao’s role as a platform between China and Portuguese speaking countries, and could help their enterprises ‘go global’ by also making use of e-commerce.


“The Guangdong & Macao Branded Products Fair 2018” Kicks off Today

The “Guangdong & Macao Branded Products Fair 2018” (2018GMBPF) – which is jointly organised by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and the Department of Commerce of Guangdong – kicks off today on 27th July and will run for three consecutive days in Hall B of the Convention and Exhibition Centre at the Venetian Macao. With this year marking the 10th anniversary of GMBPF, the Fair will not only extend its function as a platform for “going global and attracting foreign investment”, but will also include more elements of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area, thus creating greater synergy and increasing the effectiveness of the Fair.



CCAC investigating case involving loan to Viva Macau

The Industrial and Commercial Development Fund has sent a case involving a loan granted to Viva Macau, to the Commission Against Corruption (CCAC), for the graft buster to investigate whether there were any wrongful acts, or illegal transfer of assets related with Viva Macau’s bankruptcy process.




Over 350 physics experts from Greater Bay Area meet at UM to explore opportunities for research collaboration

The first Joint Annual Conference of Physical Societies in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was held today (27 July) at the University of Macau (UM). Co-organised by UM, the Physical Society of Macau, the Physical Society of Hong Kong, and Guangdong Physics Society, the event attracted over 350 experts, scholars, researchers, and industry practitioners in the field of physics from the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and other regions in China. During the event, participants discussed the latest developments and research findings in physics and explored opportunities for further collaboration and joint development in research and technology in the area.
