2018 Macao International Parade calls for submission of proposals by local arts groups

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the 2018 Macao International Parade, in celebration of the 19th anniversary of Macao’s Handover to China, will be held on 16 December (Sunday) from 3pm to 7pm. IC is now inviting all local associations, schools, institutes and organisations registered at the Macao Identification Service Bureau to join the event by submitting performance proposals.



36th Macao Young Musician Competition concluded successfully

The trials of the 36th Macao Young Musician Competition, organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, have been concluded successfully. The Special Prizes Competition was held on 15 July at the Institute for Tourism Studies, promoting exchange between music students and offering a musical feast for the audience. Chan Wai Chon was awarded the Cultural Affairs Bureau Prize, and the winners of other categories in the Special Prizes Competition were also unveiled.

MGTO signs memorandum of cooperation with China Film Producers’ Association in Beijing To infuse International Film Festival & Awards.Macao with new elements

Director of Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Head of Tourism Product and Events Department of MGTO, Jennifer Si Tou, Deputy Secretary General and Chief Financial Officer of the Organizing Committee of the International Film Festival & Awards.Macao (“IFFAM” or the “Film Festival”), Lei Sou Ian, and other delegates met with the China International Culture Communication Center and the China Film Producers’ Association successively in Beijing on 24 July to introduce the latest progress of coordination for the upcoming edition of IFFAM. During their meeting, MGTO and the China Film Producers’ Association signed a memorandum of cooperation for IFFAM. Through collaboration with different entities, MGTO seeks to augment the charm and effect of IFFAM, thereby advancing local tourism development.

New Label with Publicity Slogan Impression of Postal Label Printer

In order to cope with “The Macao 2018 - 35th Asian International Stamp Exhibition” of this year, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau announces that the following labels with franking impressions, indication of the above-mentioned publicity slogan impressions will be used in Mong Ha Post Office, Carmo Post Office, Seac Pai Van Post Office, UM Post Office and Communications Museum Shop starting from 1st August 2018 until 24th September 2018. This label is applicable only to mail correspondences, small packets and printed matters at postal counters, and it is not for individual sale.


The Forum on Chain and Franchise Business Opportunities of International Brands Exploring Opportunities arising from Consumption Upgrade

One of the highlights of the Macao Franchise Expo 2018 (2018MFE) ― the "Forum on Chain and Franchise Business Opportunities of International Brands" ― will be held at the Naples Room of the Venetian Macao at 3pm on 27 July. Enterprise Singapore and a number of franchising and international brands associations domestically and overseas are invited to the Forum to explore fresh chain and franchise opportunities. 32nd MIMF Outreach Programme allows music fans to feel the charm of art

The 32nd Macao International Music Festival’s (MIMF) Outreach Programme features a total of 13 activities in six categories, including talks, pre-show talks, backstage tours, masterclass, meet-the-artists session and workshops, allowing music fans to feel the charm of art.
