AACM launches interview stories of aviation professionals to promote to the young people the different professions in the industry

To cope with the objective of the Macao SAR government in enhancing the work for the youth, the Civil Aviation Authority of Macau SAR (AACM) will launch the “Youth Project – Interviews with aviation professionals” series in this July till January next year. The series share the interview stories of the different professionals in the industry who will talk about their personal experiences and the advice they give to the young people. A total of 27 professionals representing 7 organizations are participating in this project and will be telling their stories.








UM professor’s work on Pierre Bourdieu published by authoritative Australian press

The book ‘Bourdieu: A Critical Introduction’, authored by ProfTony Schirato and Prof Mary Roberts from the University of Macau (UM) Department of Communication, has been published by the respected academic publisher Allen & Unwin.The book provides a critical introduction to, and account of, the work of the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu.


CCAC releases investigation report on IPIM’s vetting and approval of “major investment immigration” and “technical immigration”

The CCAC released an “investigation report on the vetting and approval of ‘major investment immigration’ and ‘technical immigration’ by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute”, where it points out the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) lacked stringent vetting and approval and checking mechanisms for “major investment immigration” applications, the investment amounts of some “major investment immigration” investment projects were too low and too large proportion of the investment amounts in some of the “major investment immigration” projects applications were about immovable property investment. When processing the “technical immigration”, there were such problems as lack of stringent vetting and approval criteria, “technical immigration” applicants rarely stayed in Macao and obtaining temporary residency through fictitious employment.


Wealth Partaking Scheme 2018

In order to share the fruits of economic development with general public, the Macau SAR government has announced the “Wealth Partaking Scheme 2018”, under which, local permanent residents are entitled to receiving 9,000 patacas and non-permanent residents 5,400 patacas. With the Administrative Regulation No.8/2018 gazetted, the scheme comes into effect on 8th May 2018, and its implementation will officially start in early July.
