Applications are now open for keepers of Macao-registered private vehicles to seek the right to have them driven on the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao (HKZM) Bridge.

Macao attends UNESCO Creative Cities Network Annual Meeting in Poland

Macao is participating at the 12th UNESCO Creative Cities Network Annual Meeting that opened today (June 12) in Poland. This year co-hosted by Krakow and Katowice, Creative Cities of Literature and Music respectively, the major annual gathering of the network brought together city members from all over the world, representing the seven creative fields of the network. This is the first time Macao attends the major annual event of the network after its designation as a Creative City of Gastronomy.

Consumer Council conducted its latest ‘Supermarket price survey’ on 12 June for the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June. Surveyed locations included supermarkets in São Lázaro and São Lourenço Parishes.






UM’s research project awarded grant by National Natural Science Foundation of China

The National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) has released the list of successful applications for funding for key research projects in the year 2017. After a rigorous process, two projects were selected for funding from more than 100 submissions. One of them was a research project involving Tang Zikang, director of the Institute of Applied Physics and Materials Engineering (IAPME), University of Macau (UM); and Xing Guichuan, an assistant professor from the IAPME. The research grant application for this project was jointly submitted by researchers from UM, Zhejiang University, the South China University of Technology, and Nanjing Tech University. They will receive a grant of RMB 12 million over a period of three years.
