2025 SJM Macao International Invitation Standard Dragon Boat Race to be held tomorrow

Organized by the Sports Bureau, SJM Resorts, S.A. and the Dragon Boat Association of Macao, China, and co-organized by the Municipal Affairs Bureau and the Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau, the 2025 SJM Macao International Dragon Boat Races will stage the Macao International Invitation Standard Dragon Boat Race Open and Women’s categories (500m) and the Macao University Student Invitation Standard Dragon Boat Race (500m) tomorrow (31 May) at Nam Van Lake Nautical Centre. The Organizing Committee convened the draw and technical meeting for the races today (30 May).


UM holds science outreach activity ‘The Pursuit of Research’ to nurture future researchers

The Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) of the University of Macau (UM) held the tenth session of its science outreach activity ‘The Pursuit of Research’. About 40 secondary school students from Fong Chong School of Taipa, Sacred Heart Canossian College, Keang Peng School, and Escola Sun Wah participated in the activity.


Employment survey for February – April 2025

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that both the general unemployment rate (1.9%) and the unemployment rate of local residents (2.5%) for February - April 2025 remained the same as in the previous period (January - March 2025).


Hosting of Professional Training Workshop for International Anti-Money Laundering Organization in Macao China

As a continuous fulfillment of Macao China’s member obligation of international anti-money laundering organization, the Asia/Pacific Group on Money Laundering (APG), and for the purpose of nurturing local professional experts in relevant field, Macao China regularly hosts international organization meetings or trainings. Hosting of international AML-related events can also enhance the collaboration with stakeholders in other jurisdictions on preventing and combating crimes of money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation financing of weapons of mass destruction. All these can further demonstrate the efforts of Macao China’s active commitments to participate in international organizations. The Financial Intelligence Office (GIF) of the Unitary Police Service, jointly with the APG, organized an APG Assessor Training Workshop in Macao China from 26th to 30th May, 2025. A total of about 40 representatives from different jurisdictions participated in the Workshop. At the same time, GIF coordinated the members of the inter-departmental Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) Working Group to actively participate in this training.


Open Call for local cultural and creative products from Kun Iam Ecumenical Centre

The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) will sell local original cultural and creative products at the Kun Iam Ecumenical Centre. The registration for consignment sales is open from 3 to 13 June. All local companies dedicated to the cultural and creative industries are welcome to apply.


Announcement of medical service arrangements of Macao Union Medical Center for Dragon Boat Festival

Since 2 June (Monday) is the compensatory rest day of the Dragon Boat Festival for public employees, the specialist outpatient services (including all specialist outpatient clinics, the Imagiology Centre, blood drawing and specimen collection services) and international medical services of the Macao Union Medical Center will be closed on that day.

IPIM and the Industrial Association of Macau Organise Macao Companies to Unveil Nearly 300 “Made in Macao, Macao Brand” Products at THAIFEX-Anuga Asia

THAIFEX-Anuga Asia 2025, the largest and most influential food expo in Southeast Asia, will take place in Bangkok, Thailand from 27 to 31 May. The Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), and the Industrial Association of Macau, have established a 126-square-metre “Macao Pavilion” at the event, featuring 22 Macao enterprises showcasing nearly 300 Macao featured products such as baked goods, noodles, coffee, tea, big health products, and wine. Leveraging the platform of THAIFEX-Anuga Asia 2025, this initiative aims to promote “Made in Macao, Macao Brand” products, enhance international exchanges and collaborations, and facilitate Macao enterprises in expanding into the ASEAN and global markets.


Over 250 Themed and Side Activities at 16th IIICF Enhancing Connectivity to Create New Opportunities for Win-Win Co-operation in Infrastructure Development

The three-day 16th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum and Exhibition (IIICF) will feature over 250 activities, including thematic forums, exhibition tours, achievement presentations, project signing ceremonies, community visits, business meetings, and networking sessions.
