IFT Café hosts“Twenty Hours – An Exhibition of Abstract Painting by Denis Murrell and his Students”

The Institute for Tourism Studies (IFT) has the honour to invite the local artist Denis Murrell to hold “Twenty Hours – An Exhibition of Abstract Painting by Denis Murrell and his Students at the IFT Café from 12 January to 2 March 2018. The general public are invited to come and appreciate the artistic abstract paintings which are made of absorbent tissue papers by Denis Murrell and his students.


17th Macao City Fringe Festival officially inaugurated taking the public on a search for the city’s treasures

The 17th Macao City Fringe Festival, organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, takes place from 12 to 21 January 2018. The opening ceremony was held on 12 January, at 3pm, at the Old Court Building, and was officiated by the acting President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Ieong Chi Kin, and the representatives of the art groups.

The Consumer Council handled 5,067 cases last year, of which 1,647 are complaints, 3,397 inquiries and 23 suggestions.

Consumer Council published the latest issue no. 292 Consumer Report, which features two reports on the test of microorganisms and calories of sushi, and a questionnaire on piano lessons fees and paying methods.


UNESCO Creative Cities to gather in Macao next week for International Gastronomy Forum

The Macao Government Tourism Office will organize the “International Gastronomy Forum, Macao 2018” on January 17 to 19, bringing to town members of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, officials and experts to connect with and share their successful experiences. The event is one of the first highlight initiatives carried out by Macao after the designation as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy late last year.
