Government launches website dedicated to the “Celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the MSAR”

In order to concentrate in one place all the information related to the “Celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region”, the Government launched a web page specially dedicated to the celebration of this event, on 27 August, in order to simplify the consultation of the related information by residents and tourists.



[Macao-Hengqin Joint Investment Promotion in GBA] IPIM Visited 16 Key Enterprises in 6 Cities in 5 Days to Attract Investment

In line with the “1+4” development strategy for appropriately diversified economy and Macao-Hengqin joint industrial development, and in order to constantly strengthen the external investment promotion, the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) of the Macao Special Administrative Region and the Economic Development Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Co-operation Zone in Hengqin (the Co-operation Zone) conducted visits to 16 key enterprises which including well-known listed companies and foreign-invested companies in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) in August to promote Macao-Hengqin business advantages, including Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing and Hong Kong. Since its restructuring on 1 July, IPIM and the Economic Development Bureau of the Co-operation Zone has conducted key investment promotion work in a total of 26 enterprises and chambers of commerce in nine mainland cities in the Greater Bay Area and Hong Kong.

[Investment Promotion] Nearly Two Hundred Enterprises Participated in the “Xi’an-Macao Business Matching and Networking Session” with 160 Business Matching Sessions Arranged

The “Shaanxi Xi’an Macao Week - Xi’an-Macao Business Matching and Networking Session” was held in Xi’an today (22nd). Nearly 200 representatives from government departments, commerce and trade associations and enterprises in Shaanxi Province and Macao-Hengqin Regions attended the event, with more than 160 business matching sessions arranged and 15 contracts signed, covering industries such as big health, food registration and OEM production, wine trade, product agency and MICE co-operation, etc. The event was conducted to assist the implementation of the “1+4” industrial development plan and to provide strong support for the development of emerging industries through investment promotion.


Government to hold seminar to promote spirit of 3rd plenary session of CPC 20th Central Committee

At the invitation of the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR) Government, the central authorities have approved a visit to Macao by a delegation in order to publicise to the Macao community – via a promotional seminar – the spirit of the third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).


Smooth progress regarding Oath of Office Declaration submission for membership of Chief Executive Election Committee

The “Oath of Office Declaration” process for membership of the Chief Executive Election Committee has run smoothly, noted the Electoral Affairs Commission for the Chief Executive Election.


“Craft Market in the Greater Bay Area” and “Macao Fashion Pop-up Store” open in Guangzhou

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the “Craft Market in the Greater Bay Area” will be held from today (23 August) to 25 August in Guangzhou. Nearly 70 cultural and creative brands from Macao and mainland China will display and sell their products, and multiple music shows will be staged. The “Macao Fashion Pop-up Store” will be launched in parallel from today to 1 September. The public is welcome to visit the event.


Over 100 experts from home and abroad discuss smart city development at UM

The State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City (SKL-IOTSC) of the University of Macau (UM) held the 4th Macao International Conference on Smart City Technologies. Themed ‘Powering Resilient and Sustainable Cities: Innovations in AIOT’, this year’s conference brought together more than 100 experts and scholars from home and abroad to explore key strategies, cutting-edge interdisciplinary theories, key technologies, and applications for smart city development.


UM SKL-IOTSC holds academic committee meeting

The State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City (SKL-IOTSC) of the University of Macau (UM) held the first meeting of its second academic committee. Experts and scholars attended the meeting to discuss the development and future direction of the laboratory.
