Response assessment to tropical cyclone “Wipha”
Due to the impact of Tropical Cyclone “Wipha”, the Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau issued Typhoon Signal No. 8 at 4 a.m. on 20 July. In response to the natural disaster and to safeguard the life and property of citizens, in accordance with the Chief Executive Dispatch, pursuant to Article 8, Item 1 of Article 9, and Sub-item 7 of Item 1 of Article 11 of Law No. 11/2020 (Civil Protection Law), the Chief Executive declared that the Macao SAR entered into immediate prevention stage. All entities of civil protection structure reported to the Civil Protection Operations Centre and adopted various response measures.

46% of Employers Have Yet to Pay Contributions — FSS Calls for the Prompt Use of the “Business & Associations Platform” and the “Macao One Account”
As of 20 July, approximately 11,600 employers have not yet paid the obligatory system contributions to the Social Security System for their employees for the second quarter of 2025. This represents around 46% of all obligated employers. As the payment deadline approaches and the number of individuals at service points increases, the Social Security Fund (commonly referred to as FSS in Macao) urges employers and residents to use the “Business & Associations Platform” or “Macao One Account” to make their payments as soon as possible to avoid overdue payments and long wait times.

Registration Opening for“Cybersecurity Vulnerability Management Workshop (2025)”
In order to raise the awareness of computer security and strengthen the ability to identify computer risks for workers from corporate offices in Macao,the Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT)will organize the “Cybersecurity Vulnerability Management Workshop (2025)”, which will take place on 13th September, 2025 at the Auditorium of Macao Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre. Through the workshop, participants will master the techniques for identifying cybersecurity vulnerabilities, assessment criteria and remediation methods, thereby improving the cybersecurity defense level of companies or institutions and reducing the occurrence of cyberattack incidents. The course is free and has 50 seats.
