MPU Scholar Honoured as “World's Top 2% Scientist”

Stanford University released the “World’s Top 2% Scientists” annual impact rankings. Associate Professor Mark Teng of the Faculty of Languages and Translation (FLT) at Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) has been selected for the fourth consecutive year. In the field of “Language and Linguistics,” he ranks 4th among 35 scholars from Chinese higher education institutions (including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan) with comprehensive influence in the top 2% globally. He is the only scholar from Macao to be listed in this field, ranking 79th among 21,383 scholars worldwide.

Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Macao Special Administrative Region, through a joint collaboration between the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China and the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture of Macao SAR, the China National Peking Opera Company is returning to the Macao Cultural Centre with two shows to be performed on 6 and 7 December (Friday and Saturday) at the Grand Auditorium.





UM Macao Humanities Forum explores Chinese history through Illustrations of the Tributary States

The Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH) of the University of Macau (UM) held the Macao Humanities Forum, with Ge Zhaoguang, Distinguished Professor in the National Institute for Advanced Humanistic Studies and the Department of History at Fudan University, as the guest speaker. Prof Ge gave a lecture titled ‘Imagining a Universal Empire: A Study of the Illustrations of the Tributary States of the Myriad Regions Attributed to Li Gonglin’, attracting many students, faculty members, and online participants.
