[Exhibition Period Extended to 3 Days for the First Time] 15th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum Gathers Industry Professionals with Over 50 Activities to Jointly Uncover New Opportunities for Global Infrastructure Development
The 15th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum (IIICF), extended from two to three days for the first time, will take place from 19 to 21 June (next Wednesday to Friday) at Cotai Expo, The Venetian Macao. Under the theme of “Green Innovation Digital Connectivity”, the 15th IIICF will probe into the trending topics in the global infrastructure industry from different perspectives through over 50 activities, including speeches, forums, conferences, exhibitions, symposiums, roadshows, business talks and index releases, to help countries and regions along the “Belt and Road” make new progress in infrastructure construction.

Programme “Local View Power 2023” premieres various productions at the end of the month
Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, the programme “Local View Power 2023” will be held from 27 to 30 June at the Galaxy Cinemas, premiering nine local productions in six sessions on the big screen, covering documentaries, short features and animation movies, with diverse narratives and visual styles. Macao Polytechnic University has achieved notable success in the Times Higher Education World University Impact Rankings 2024 released on 12 June in Bangkok, Thailand, ranking between 301st and 400th globally. This marks MPU’s debut in the overall rankings and positions it as the top-ranked university in Macao. MPU has advanced to the 72nd position globally in the scope of “Decent Work and Economic Growth” among the sustainable development goals of the United Nations. UM develops new drug screening technology for precision medicine
A research team led by Jia Yanwei, assistant professor in the Institute of Microelectronics at the University of Macau (UM), has developed a microfluidic system for drug screening using primary tumour cells, which can offer individual cancer patients a tailored treatment plan that exhibits the best therapeutic results. The system is expected to be used by clinicians in medication guidance, thereby realising the commercialisation of research results and facilitating technological innovation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The research findings have been published in the internationally renowned journal Nature Communications.
