Macao Polytechnic University visited Zhuhai Center for Disease Control and Prevention to promote scientific research cooperation and exchanges

In order to promote the development of the big health industry, Prof. Tong Hoi Yee, Director of Centre for Artificial Intelligence Driven Drug Discovery (AIDD) in Faculty of Applied Sciences at Macao Polytechnic University, and his team visited the Zhuhai Center for Disease Control and Prevention a few days ago. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Mei Wenhua, the Party Secretary of Zhuhai CDC, as well as by Huang Liqun, the Deputy Director, and Huang Huitao, the Director of the Microbiology Laboratory. The two parties had in-depth exchanges on scientific research project cooperation.

The brand-new website (www.dst.gov.mo) of Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) is officially launched today (7 September). Besides offering the original functions of the Macao Tourism Industry Net (industry.macaotourism.gov.mo), the website has five optimized characteristics that enable businesses, residents and media to obtain information conveniently, in parallel with the goal to provide different sectors of the society with quality services.

The five-day “Macao Week in Tianjin” ended with success today (4 September). During the event, the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) led 28 Macao enterprises to set up exhibition areas at Heping Road Pedestrian Street (Golden Street) in Tianjin to launch marketing displays of products from Macao and Portuguese-speaking countries (PSCs), attracting numerous Tianjin locals and visitors.



Taipa Central Park Swimming Pool and Coloane Karting Track will reopen on 6 September

After inspection and maintenance work carried out by the Sport Bureau, Taipa Central Park Swimming Pool and Coloane Karting Track will reopen tomorrow (6 September) at 12pm and 2pm respectively for the public to perform physical exercises.

The call for proposals for the programme “Local View Power 2023”, organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), has recently completed the second round of selection, which shortlisted ten documentaries, short dramas and animations for the third round.


35th Macao International Music Festival programmes highly sought after on the first day of ticket sales Registration for the programmes of “Joe Hisaishi 360” series closed on 6 September

Tickets for the 35th Macao International Music Festival (MIMF), organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), are on sale simultaneously through the Macau Ticketing Network outlets, telephone and online booking from 3 September. On the first day of ticket sales, several programmes of this year’s MIMF were highly sought after, including the Opera in Two Acts by Gioachino Rossini The Barber of Seville, Echoes Of Life, The Movies, AuRora, Legacies and Song of the Ch’in. This year’s MIMF has received an enthusiastic response from the public and nearly 40,000 music aficionados were recorded in registration for tickets of the much-anticipated programmes of “Joe Hisaishi 360” series on the first of ticket sales.
