Tickets for the programmes of “Joe Hisaishi 360” series on sale through registration and random draw

In order to allow more members of the public to enjoy the programmes of the “Joe Hisaishi 360” series, part of the 35th Macao International Music Festival, tickets will be open for sale through registration and random draw. Seating for the programmes will be allocated randomly by computer ballot; interested parties must register through the system of the Macau Ticketing Network (www.macauticket.com/JoeHisaishi360) from 3pm on 3 September to 8pm on 6 September, and each person can register for a maximum of two tickets per programme. If the number of registrants exceeds the limit, tickets will be allocated in the sequence of the random draw results, including the first-round successful applicants and the waitlisted applicants. Each person has a chance to draw for one programme only. All registrants have an equal chance of being selected, so there is no need to rush to register.


35th Macao International Music Festival presents diverse aspects of music through outreach activities

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the 35th Macao International Music Festival (MIMF) will present a series of outstanding programmes to bring the public closer to music. In addition, the event features 14 outreach activities, including talks, pre-show talks, backstage tours, “Meet-the-Artist” sessions, workshops, community activities, charity session and film screenings, spreading music into communities.


MPU-Bell English Centre held a large-scale SAT test

In order to establish an examination and certification centre in Macao and to contribute to its adequate diversification development, MPU-Bell Centre of English held a large-scale SAT test on August 26. Nearly 500 candidates from Macao, Hong Kong and the Mainland participated in the test, which was completed in an orderly manner.



Results of survey on manpower needs and wages for the second quarter 2023

The Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) released results of the Survey on Manpower Needs and Wages for the second quarter of 2023. Survey coverage comprises Wholesale & Retail Trade; Transport, Storage & Communications; Security Activities and Public Sewage & Refuse Disposal Activities; however, the self-employed are excluded.





UM, CICES jointly offer certificate courses

The Centre for Continuing Education of the University of Macau (UM) and the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES) (Hong Kong Region) jointly offer the Advanced Professional Diploma in Construction Commercial Management (Quantity Surveying). The course aims to enhance the professional knowledge of industry practitioners, so as to promote the development of the construction industry and facilitate Macao’s economic diversification.


Exhibition of Yun Shouping’s paintings and calligraphy to open at Macao Museum of Art next Friday to showcase the master’s ‘boneless’ painting technique

Jointly organized by the Macao Museum of Art (MAM) under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, the Palace Museum and the Shanghai Museum, co-organized by the Macao Government Tourism Office and the Macao Foundation and supported by the Macao Daily News, the exhibition ‘Yun Shouping: Paintings and Calligraphy from the Palace Museum and the Shanghai Museum’ will be unveiled at 6:30 p.m. on 1 September on the fourth floor of the Macao Museum of Art, and will feature over 180 landscape paintings, bird-and-flower paintings and calligraphic works by Qing dynasty painter Yun Shouping, his disciples and fellow artists. All are welcome to visit.
