Final showdowns set for ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2024 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group
The semi-finals of the ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2024 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group, sanctioned by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), organized by the Sports Bureau, Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) and World Table Tennis Management Group Limited (WTMG), and co-organized by the Macau Table Tennis General Association, were held today (20 April) at the Galaxy Arena.

[A Panorama of Portuguese-speaking Countries] Pavilion further enriched with products from 9 Portuguese-speaking Countries The venue integrates products, services, and event spaces to promote China-PSCs economic and trade co-operation
Since its opening in November 2022, the “Pavilion of China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Service Platform” has served as a new impetus for the development of the China-PSCs Platform in Macao. The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) continues to optimise the exhibition content of the pavilion. Currently closed for internal redecoration, it will introduce a large display case titled “China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Platform@Macao”. This space will showcase some of the representative products and models of raw materials from nine Portuguese-speaking Countries (PSC), deepening visitors’ understanding of high-quality products characteristic of these countries. This enhancement aims to further improve visitor experience and deepen China-PSCs economic and trade co-operation.

[Promoting the China-PSC Co-operation Platform] The number of Portuguese-speaking Countries exhibitors in 2023 exceeded pre-pandemic figures
The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) has, in recent years, aligned with the SAR government’s “1+4” appropriately diversified development strategy while fostering the construction of the China-PSC Platform. It also meets the needs of enterprises by continuously enriching and optimising the online and offline “one-stop” services. In particular, leveraging the dynamics of "industry + MICE", IPIM pro-actively invites companies from PSCs to participate in MICE events hosted/co-ordinated by IPIM. In 2023, the number of exhibitors from PSCs increased by 15% compared to 2019. This demonstrates that companies from these countries are increasingly approving and leveraging the role of Macao as a China-PSC Platform to open doors to business opportunities, not only in mainland China but also internationally.
