Tap Siac Craft Market in spring is inaugurated creating a cultural and creative event in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the Tap Siac Craft Market in spring is held from today to 23 April and from 27 to 30 April for two consecutive weeks at Tap Siac Square, showcasing and selling original products from Macao, Mainland China and Hong Kong. A number of music performances and creative handicraft workshops are also held. All are welcome to participate.


MPU Delegation Visited Brazilian Universities to Promote the Greater Bay Area and the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin for Deepening Cooperation on Innovation and Entrepreneurship

When Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva paid a state visit to China, a delegation from the Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) travelled to Brazil from April 11 to 17. The delegation visited the Vice President of the Association of Portuguese Language Universities (AULP), São Paulo State University (Unesp), the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), the University of Brasilia (UnB), the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), and other famous universities and Confucius Institutes. The delegation introduced the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, as well as the important role played by Macao, with the expectation to attract Brazilian universities to access the Greater Bay Area and Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. In this way, they can help Macao take the construction of “Dual Zones” as an assess point and play an active role in deepening the comprehensive cooperative partnership between China and Brazil, and reflect Macao’s all-round and multi-faceted integration into the overall development of our country.


Facing Amazing Macao-Hengqin Business Opportunities, AICEP Expects Mutual Exchanges and Future Development

The Macao Entrepreneur Delegation teamed up with the representatives of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Co-operation Zone in Hengqin (the Co-operation Zone) to have field inspection in Portugal. The first stop of their visit is the Portuguese Agency for Foreign Investment and Commerce (AICEP), which is a local agency in charge ofeconomic development and co-operation. During the visit, it is aimed at providing AICEP an in-depth understanding of the new pattern of Macao-Hengqin synergistic industrial development through communication among all parties. Manuel Gaeiras, Director of Foreign Relations and Overseas Market Office of AICEP, believed that the Macao-Portugal investment and the Tourism Promotion Conference held on 19 April local time in Portugal was an excellent start, through which it could provide Portuguese enterprises a comprehensive introduction to the latest development and investment opportunities in Macao and Hengqin, and spark their interests in investing in the two places.


Highlights of the 33rd Macao Arts Festival

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, the 33rd Macao Arts Festival (MAF), will be held from 28 April to 28 May. Themed “The Long Artistic Journey”, this edition features 20 selected programmes covering theatre, opera, dance, music and the visual arts, inviting the public to be inspired by art to appreciate the beauty of life and the most beautiful landscapes, looking forward to the future with both a local focus and a global vision.
