2022 Idea-cation Tourism Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition at IFTM
The Idea-cation competition was inaugurated last year by IFTM, aiming to stimulate entrepreneurial thinking in Macao. Participants formed teams to join a 3-day bootcamp to develop business ideas on the theme of “Tourism + Innovation” with experienced mentors. The teams pitched their ideas to a panel of judges formed by industry professionals and IFTM faculty.

Entrepreneurship and brand design seminar series at IFTM for the 2022 Idea-cation Competition
IFTM has just completed the 4-day seminar series as one of the event highlights of the Idea-cation 2022 competition, to provide valuable knowledge to the participants. This seminar series included a broad range of professional speakers from various sectors: Mr. Mann Lao shared his insights related to commercial brand design; Mr. Micah Ao shared his experience of brands development; Dr. Fernando Lourenço provided a range of creativity and entrepreneurship tools to participants; Mr. Grant Lou provided valuable information about doing business in the Greater Bay Area; and finally, Ms. Liana Lao delivered a workshop on social media marketing and the use of Key Opinion Leader (KOL).

Facilitating over 1,000 business matching sessions: Macao enterprises report their expectations are met at the CIIE
The six-day "5th China International Import Expo" came to a successful conclusion today (10 November). During the event, Macao enterprises had more than 1,000 business matching sessions. Two live streaming interviews at CIIE conducted by influencers attracted over 70,000 views online.

The Macao Institute for Tourism Studies hosted the IFTM Scholarship and Fellowship Presentation Ceremony 2022 on 11 November at Grand Hall of IFTM Mong-Há Campus. A total of 297 scholarships and fellowships offered by IFTM and various donors were presented to students with outstanding performance in various fields or financial difficulties.
