MAF offers additional seats for Rite of Spring and On Substance of Time Additional tickets are available from 7 April

The 33rd Macao Arts Festival (MAF), organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), will be held from 28 April to 28 May, with many programmes having seen favourable responses since tickets went on sale. Due to the public’s overwhelming responses, the IC will offer some additional seats for the grand opening programme Rite of Spring and On Substance of Time. Tickets for the additional seats will be on sale simultaneously through the Macau Ticketing Network outlets, online and telephone booking from 10am on 7 April.


Residential property price index for December 2022 – February 2023

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the overall residential property price index for December 2022 - February 2023 increased by 0.2% over the previous period (November 2022 - January 2023) to 245.7. The indices for the Macao Peninsula (244.1) and Taipa & Coloane (252.1) rose by 0.1% and 0.7% respectively.


UM holds science talks to enhance local secondary students’ passion for science

Assistant Professor Chang Wa Kam and UM Macao Fellow Lei Chon Lok in the University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) delivered two science talks to enhance local secondary students’ interest in science, biology, and biomedical sciences. The former gave a talk titled ‘The Beauty of Cells’ at Escola Xin Hua, and the latter gave a talk titled ‘Modelling Life: The Mathematics of Our Beating Heart’ at Instituto Salesiano.




UM to launch six new master’s degree programmes

In the 2023/2024 academic year, the University of Macau (UM) will launch six new master’s degree programmes, in the areas of artificial intelligence, robotics and autonomous systems, coastal environment and safety, innovative materials, medicinal administration, and philosophy, respectively. Through these programmes, the university aims to nurture more high-quality professionals for Macao to support the development of emerging industries and assist Macao in its economic transformation.


UM Held Language and Culture Day

The University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH) recently held the Fourth UM Language and Culture Day to promote language and cultural diversity. With the theme ‘Cherish Mother Tongues, Embrace All Cultures’, the event featured various cultural performances presented by academic staff and students from different countries and regions. More than 200 UM students, faculty members, and staff participated in the event.


IFTM to launch Master’s Degree and Postgraduate Diploma Programmes in Digital Marketing and Analytics

IFTM will launch two brand-new postgraduate programmes, namely the Master of Science in Digital Marketing and Analytics and its corresponding Postgraduate Diploma in the academic year 2023/2024. The new programmes will be in effect after being published in MSAR Gazette. The programmes, using English as the teaching medium, will focus on the core area of marketing and high-end retail management in the context of digital transformation. Students will be nurtured to grasp the digital media communication and data analytical skills.


【Matching Sessions of Wuhan Station】Over 30 Macao and Hubei Enterprises Jointly Expand the Wine Market of Portuguese-speaking Countries

The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and the Hubei Provincial Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) jointly organised the “Business Matching Sessions for Wine of Portuguese-speaking Countries (Wuhan Station)” yesterday (31 March). A total of more than 30 representatives of Hubei and Macao enterprises participated and XX business matching and negotiations sessions were facilitated, covering trade, catering, supermarket, and other industries.
