The CCAC organises a series of activities to echo with the UN’s International Anti-Corruption Day
On the occasion ofthe UN’s “International Anti-Corruption Day” (IACD) observed on 9th December every year, the CCAC carried out a series of promotional activities earlier, including the launch of a dedicated webpage, a creative dubbing activity, WeChat quiz games and subject talks in the community as well as the production of publicity content in the media, which aim to, through online and offline approaches, deepen the public’s understanding of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC)and arouse public concern on corruption related issues.

Award ceremony for selected exhibition proposals for the “18th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia”Gold prize-winning team to step on global stage next year
Organised by the Macao Museum of Art (MAM) under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), and co-organised by the Architects Association of Macau, the award ceremony for the “18th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia – Collateral Event from Macao, China” Open Call for Exhibition Proposals was held on 5 December at the Auditorium of the Macao Museum of Art. The President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Leong Wai Man and the President of the General Assembly of the Architects Association of Macau, Ben Leong Chong In, presented the awards. The wining team of the Gold Prize proposal “RE-CALIBRATION – In Search of a New Critical Regionalism”, composed of Jimmy Wardhana, as well as Choi Wan Sun, Lin Ian Neng and Tong Tou U, will participate in the Exhibition in Italy in May next year, stepping on the global stage on behalf of Macao.

IFTM supports the 4th Arts and Cultural Festival between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries with a series of wine tasting events
The Macao Institute for Tourism Studies (IFTM) was invited by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (ICM) to support the 4th Arts and Cultural Festival between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries with a series of wine tasting events and workshops catering to tourists and citizens. Five introductory sessions were held on 29 October at the Taipa Houses during the Lusofonia Festival with around 60 participants learning the fundamental wine tasting skills and Portuguese wine culture.

Cultural industries statistics 2021
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that a total of 2,764 organisations were operating in the four core domains of cultural industries in Macao in 2021, namely 'Creative design', 'Cultural exhibitions & performances', 'Art collection' and 'Digital media'; the figure represented an increase of 248 year-on-year. Total number of persons engaged rose by 1.4% to 12,067, and Compensation of Employees went up by 1.4% to MOP 2.13 billion. Total Service Receipts grew by 12.3% to MOP 5.67 billion. Gross Value Added that measures the contribution of the industries to the economy decreased by 0.1% to MOP 2.15 billion, accounting for 0.9% of the total Gross Value Added of all economic activities in Macao in 2021, down by 0.2 percentage points from 2020 (1.1%). With new operators entering the various domains, coupled with the acquisition of property, machinery and equipment and update of computer software by some existing ones, Gross Fixed Capital Formation surged by 127.1% to MOP 0.91 billion. As compared with the pre-pandemic levels in 2019, Total Service Receipts and Gross Value Added fell by 28.4% and 27.9% respectively.
