Beware of fraudulent SMS from fake courier companies
Members of the public reportedly received a SMS with a company’s hyperlink and a parcel tracking code. The recipients were informed about the delay of their parcel’s delivery due to insufficient information. Recipients of the SMS clicked on the link of a courier website and were instructed to provide personal details and pay additional fee. Suspecting it was a scam as they had not purchased anything online nor had sent any parcels out, they reported the incident to the police immediately.

WTT Champions Macao 2021 China Stars presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group kicks off tomorrow
WTT Champions Macao 2021 China Stars presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group, organized by the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government and World Table Tennis (WTT) and co-organized by the Macau Table Tennis General Association, will be held at the Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion from 19 to 23 January 2022. The draw ceremony was held today and was attended by: Pun Weng Kun, President of the Sports Bureau; Liu Guoliang, International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Executive Vice President, WTT Council Chair and Chinese Table Tennis Association President; Philip Cheng, Director of Galaxy Entertainment Group; and players Ma Long, Fan Zhendong, Xu Xin, Chen Meng, Wang Manyu, Sun Yingsha from China, Li Qian from Poland and Cheong Chi Cheng from Macao, China, amongst others.

New murals enrich the scenery of local streets and alleys
The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) has joined hands with various local artists to create a number of murals that feature the stories of the communities’ origins in different neighbourhoods, combining cultural creativity with art, enriching and invigorating the scenery of local streets and alleys. The murals will be on display at Rua de Tomás da Rosa and Anim’Arte NAM VAN on the Macao peninsula and at Escada do Coxo in Taipa to enhance the artistic and cultural atmosphere of the neighbourhoods.

FSS Optimizes the Electronic Services Provide Convenient, Fast and Flexible Channels for Employers to Pay Contributions
The Electronic Filing Service of Social Security Fund (abbreviated to FSS in Macao) has been optimized since January 2022. Employers already activated the Electronic Filing Service are not required to file if there is “no change” of long-term employees during the quarter. The Contribution Payment Advice can be downloaded on the first day of the contribution month; the reporting period is extended to the second last working day of the contribution month; SMS notification service is added to remind employers to pay contributions on time, etc.

The 2022 MGM Macao International Regatta successfully concluded
The 2022 MGM Macao International Regatta, organized by the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government and the Ursa Major Sailing Event Management, co-organized by the Marine and Water Bureau of the Macao SAR Government and the Macau Sailing Association, supported by the Zhuhai Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau, and title-sponsored by MGM, officially concluded today. After four days of thrilling sailing races, Muwu BBQ, Hua Yun Health Care Sailing Team and Sanya UC.18 Sailing Team were crowned the overall champions in the Macao Cup International Regatta (Beneteau First 40.7 unified design group), the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Cup Regatta (IRC group) and the International Catamaran Invitational (Hobie 16 unified design group), respectively.
