“7+3” medical observation policy to apply to certain arrivals from foreign countries, Hong Kong SAR and the region of Taiwan

Based on the latest characteristics of COVID-19 transmission and the “Protocol for Prevention and Control of COVID-19 (Ninth Edition)” published by the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announces that:


Health Bureau announces health services arrangement from 2 August

To cooperate with the anti-epidemic measures of the MSAR Government, starting from 2 August, all individuals who intend to enter Conde de São Januário General Hospital, Health Centres, Health Stations or other medical institutions under the Health Bureau – including staff and visitors – will not be required to present the result of rapid antigen self-test upon entry; however, they must still present a valid Macao Health Code, wear a surgical mask or a higher standard mask, undergo body temperature checking, scan the venue QR code, and comply with other anti-epidemic measures. Adjustment will be made in a timely manner according to the guidelines of CDC.


Termination of the state of immediate prevention

According to the Dispatch of the Chief Executive on 1 August 2022, in accordance with Item 1 of Article 9 of Law No. 11/2020 (Civil Protection Legal Regime), the state of immediate prevention as declared in Dispatch of the Chief Executive No. 101/2022 is terminated as of 12:00 on 2 August 2022.


“The 14th Higher Education International Conference” of MPU and APQN Is Now Calling for Paper Submissions Until the End of September

To continuously enhance the quality of teaching and learning in higher education as well as to strengthen the cooperation between Macao and overseas higher education institutions, the Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) and the Asia-Pacific Quality Network (APQN) are jointly organising “The 14th Higher Education International Conference on Online Teaching and Sustainable Quality Assurance: Challenges and Perspectives”. The conference explores the challenges and perspectives of sustainable online teaching and quality assurance in higher education in the post-pandemic era. The conference calls for papers until the end of September. Experts and scholars of higher education in Macao and around the world are cordially invited to participate and publish papers in related fields.


CE to attend Legislative Assembly session on 9 August

The Chief Executive, Mr Ho Iat Seng, will attend a plenary session of the Legislative Assembly on 9 August to answer Legislative Assembly members’ questions on Government policy and social issues.

The Education and Youth Development Bureau will gradually resume normal operations from August 2

In response to the "Guidelines for the Public Sector on Work Arrangements after August 2" issued by the Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau, the headquarter of the Education and Youth Development Bureau and its subordinate units including: Centre of Educational Resources, Centre of Languages, Centre of Moral Education, Parenting Education Center, Centre of Psycho-pedagogical Support and Special Education (reading room on the first floor and the reserved services on the second and fourth floor respectively), Activities Centre of Porto Exterior, Activities Centre of Bairro do Hipódromo, The Youth Educational Base with the Theme of Loving the Motherland and Macao, The Pavilion of Patriotism, Centre of Experimentation for the Youth, Youth Art Exhibition and Performance Hall, Centre for Higher Education Students as well as study rooms will gradually resume normal operations from August 2.


Sports Bureau facilities to be reopened from 2 August

As the pandemic situation in Macao continues to stabilize, the Sports Bureau is reopening its sports facilities (except for D. Bosco College Sports Centre - Swimming Pool and Taipa Northeast Sports Centre) from 2 August (Tuesday) to allow the public to take part in sports activities.
