Special Authorization to Stay for Reuniting Kindred of Non-resident Workers

Application for “Special Authorization to Stay” to reuniting kindred of non-resident workers specified in Term 3, Article 16 of Administrative Regulation No. 38/2021, as well as renew and cancel the Special Authorization.

Target Groups and Application Eligibility

Target People

  1. Application: Non-resident workers and their reuniting kindred.
  2. Renewal: Non-resident worker’s reuniting kindred who need to apply for renewal of “Special Authorization to Stay” accordingly after the renewal of the “Authorization to Stay for Non-resident Workers”.
  3. Reposition: Persons whose “Special Authorization to Stay” has a validity shorter than that of the “Authorization to Stay for Non-resident Worker” owing to the early expiry of the document and hence need to apply for extension of “Special Authorization to Stay” accordingly after renewal of the document.
  4. Cancellation: Non-resident workers and dependants who are allowed to stay in Macao with the non-resident worker.

Requirement

  1. Application
    1. Non-resident workers meeting the stipulation in Term 5, Article 8 of Law No. 4/2003, i.e. with specific qualification and beneficial to the Macao SAR;
    2. Reuniting kindred of non-resident workers meeting the stipulation:
      1. relevant to the system of entry, stay and residence authorization in Macao (e.g. 1. in possession of a valid passport / travel document / identification document for entry to and departure from Macao; and 2. not in a lawfully restricted status);
      2. in Article 2 of Administrative Regulation No. 5/2003, belonging to any of the following category:
        1. spouse;
        2. individual having de facto marital relation and fulfilling the requirement specified in Article 1472 of the Civil Code;
        3. first-level lineal ascendants of the non-resident worker and his/her spouse;
        4. first-level lineal minor descendants and adopted minors of the non-resident worker and his/her spouse;
        5. minors and consanguinities proved to be supported by the non-resident worker.
  2. Renewal (including Validity Update)
    Same as 1.2.1..
  3. Cancellation
    Non-resident workers and dependents who are allowed to stay in Macao with the non-resident worker.

Residence and Stay Affairs Department grants ‘Special Authorization to Stay’ to reuniting kindred of non-resident worker.

  • Certificate of application

Target Groups and Application Eligibility

  1. Statement to prove the applicant is in application procedure: Persons who are making an application to the Residence and Stay Affairs Department and have a dossier opened.
  2. Certificate to prove the document is copied from the applicant’s dossier: Persons who have made or are making an application to the Residence and Stay Affairs Department and have a dossier opened.
  3. Certificate of limit of stay granted in “Authorization to Stay”: For persons who need this certificate to prove to a public department or private organization in Macao that they are granted valid “Authorization to Stay” by the relevant unit of our Department.
  4. Other certificates issued based on information in dossier: Persons who have made or are making an application to the Residence and Stay Affairs Department and have a dossier opened.

Service result
Residence and Stay Affairs Department issues relevant certificate to applicant.
