Cultural Affairs Bureau sets up more than 40 “10-Minute Reading Corners” in the city’s districts and continues to invite people from all walks of life to build a citywide reading network

In order to promote citywide reading and encourage the public to have a lifelong reading habit, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) launched the programme “10-Minute Reading Corner” in April this year, installing embedded reading facilities in the city’s districts to progressively build a citywide reading network, bringing cultural resources to the community, and enhancing the development of Macao as a “City of Reading”. As of September, IC has set up over 40 “10-Minute Reading Corners” in various districts of Macao and in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin.
