2020 Annual Report of the CCAC of Macao published in Official Gazette
The 2020 Annual Report of the Commission Against Corruption of Macao was published in the Official Gazette of the Macao Special Administrative Region today (20 May). In 2020, under the pandemic, the CCAC still carried out the actions in the areas of anti-corruption, ombudsman and promotion and education in a pragmatic and orderly way in accordance with its plan.

“Macao Week in Jiangsu” abounds with spectators Radiating Macao’s “tourism +” glamour for four days
The “Macao Week in Jiangsu” roadshow was held splendidly along the Pedestrian Street at Confucius Temple in Nanjing for four days in a row from 14 – 17 May, in tandem with the offline and online promotions to raise Macao’s profile as a healthy, safe and quality destination and attract Mainland visitors to Macao. The event attracted over 250,000 spectators on site and engaged over 72 million viewers cumulatively online. The hashtag “#Macao Week in Jiangsu#” has received over 28 million pageviews on Weibo.

Tourism Development Committee convenes the first Plenary Meeting of 2021 Foster “tourism +” synergy and extend length of visitors’ stay
The Tourism Development Committee (CDT, on its Portuguese acronym) convened the first Plenary Meeting of 2021 today (18 May), presided over by Secretary for Economy and Finance of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government and Committee Chairperson, Lei Wai Nong. Various CDT members raised opinions and suggestions on Macao’s tourism development as well as tourism and economic recovery.

“Macao Week in Jiangsu” Concluded in Success Macao’s and Portuguese-speaking Countries’ Products Well Received by Residents
The five-day event “Macao Week in Jiangsu” concluded on 17 May. The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) organised MICE delegates and Macao enterprises to join the event. IPIM held the “Jiangsu-Macao Tourism and MICE Promotion Session”, in which around 120 representatives of tourism and MICE sectors from Jiangsu and Macao took part. The “Nanjing-Macao Business Matching Session” was also held, wherein more than 90 enterprisers met and talked to each other, up by 5% compared to the “Hangzhou-Macao Business Matching Session” during the “Macao Week in Hangzhou”. Some of the participating entrepreneurs said that the efficacy of joining the event reached their expectation. IPIM believes that the event enabled Jiangsu companies to get a sense of the Macao’s economic vitality, enhancing the co-operation and market expansion between both places.

The “Macao Week in Jiangsu”, which was held by the Macao SAR Government, just arrived its third destination, in order to build an exchange platform to intensify Jiangsu-Macao and Nanjing-Macao co-operation, linking up their respective advantages in terms of tourism and MICE resources. It also allowed Macao companies to seek for potential partners in local tourism and MICE sectors, for greater development and to expand markets for both regions.
