CE in Guangzhou for launch of documentary celebrating the MSAR’s 22nd anniversary

The Chief Executive, Mr Ho Iat Seng, officiated at the launch of the 4K-definition documentary "Crunch and Munch in Macao," which has China Media Group as a co-producer, and celebrates the 22nd anniversary of Macao’s return to the motherland.


2021GMBPF to Open Tomorrow with 400 Booths Focusing on Smart Life Elements

The “2021 Guangdong and Macao Branded Products Fair” (2021GMBPF), jointly organised by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, will be held at Hall D of The Venetian Macao from 26 to 28 November. Under the theme of “smart life”, the 2021GMBPF will integrate online and offline exhibitions, combine shopping, exhibition, leisure and entertainment to promote trade and cultural exchange. Admission to the three-day fair is free and the public is welcome to visit.


Experts Discussed Teaching and Learning Strategies in the Post-Pandemic Era at “The 13th Higher Education International Conference” of MPI

The Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI) and the Asia Pacific Quality Network (APQN) jointly organised “The 13th Higher Education International Conference on Education Innovation and Teaching Quality Assurance in the Post-Pandemic Era” from 22nd to 23th November, 2021 via Zoom platform. Over 30 experts from England, Portugal, Australia, Japan, Turkey, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, cross-straits, Hong Kong and Macao presented their papers. The online conference attracted 200 experts and PhD candidates from all over the world to participate. They actively engaged in exchanging views and interacting freely during the conference.


MGTO effectively implemented policy measures of the SAR Government Deepening “tourism +” integration and raising Macao’s profile as a safe and quality destination

Throughout the Fiscal Year 2021 for public administration, Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) braved the new prospect and challenges with its unswerving commitment to the Macao Special Administrative Region Government’s overall direction of policy implementation, and effectively carried out the major measures. Over the past year, MGTO not just significantly deepened integration across different sectors of “tourism +” but also raised Macao’s profile as a safe, healthy and quality destination. Its efforts propelled the tourism industry towards recovery and contributed to economic revival as the pandemic situation stabilized.



2021PLPEX organises Portuguese-speaking countries’ wine tasting and promotional activities to assist Macao’s enterprises in “going global”

The 2021 Portuguese Speaking Countries Products and Services Exhibition (Macao) (2021PLPEX), in collaboration with the “Global Ingredients, Taste of Shanghai” catering event, has earlier released the first “Global Wine.Shanghai Wine List – Recommended Wine List of Portuguese-speaking Countries in 2021”. By doing so, 2021PLPEX aims to foster economic, trade and cultural exchanges and co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, leverage Macao’s advantages as the platform between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, highlight the theme of 2021PLPEX “Grasping Co-operation Opportunities and Opening up New Horizons via China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Platform”, and meanwhile produce synergy with Shanghai, the partner city of the 26th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (26th MIF). Representatives of the winning enterprises believe that the event can improve the popularity of the products from Portuguese-speaking countries in the Chinese Mainland and thus fuel the publicity and promotion for the event. The winning wines from these companies are even acclaimed by Shanghai enterprises. In addition, a wine list awards ceremony, Portuguese-speaking countries’ wine tasting and promotional activities will be held at 2021PLPEX.


UM awards scholarships to outstanding students

The University of Macau (UM) today (24 November) held the Scholarship Presentation Ceremony 2021. During the ceremony, the university presented scholarships and academic prizes to 356 students for their outstanding academic performance.
